Flights between Dubai and Manila may still be banned until May 31, 2021, the Philippine Airlines (PAL) has already released flight schedule for June and July today.

In June, PAL will only operate every Wednesday. Meanwhile, the airline will only operate on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday in July.

Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management announces updates to travel protocols effective from Sunday 31 Jan, aimed at ensuring the safety of travelers

Protocols for travelers arriving in Dubai
• UAE citizens will be required to do a PCR test only on arrival in Dubai regardless of the country they are coming from.
• UAE residents, GCC citizens, and visitors traveling to Dubai will need to do a pre-travel PCR test, irrespective of the country they are coming from. Arrivals from some countries (based on the COVID-19 situation there) may be required to undergo an additional test when landing in Dubai.
• Validity period of PCR tests has been reduced from 96 hours to 72 hours.

Protocols for travelers departing from Dubai
• A Rapid PCR or Rapid Antigen test will be available at the airport to travelers departing from Dubai if their destination country requires it.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has updated procedures to enter the emirate from within the country, effective from Monday, 1 February. The decision aims to enhance precautionary measures to contain and eliminate the spread of Covid-19.

The procedures continue to allow entry into the emirate within 48 hours of receiving a negative PCR test result. Those remaining in the emirate for 4 days or more, must take a PCR test on day 4 of entry, and another PCR test on day 8 of entry for those staying for 8 days or more.

The updated procedures allow entry into the emirate within 24 hours of receiving a negative DPI test result, but DPI tests cannot be used to enter two consecutive times.

Those entering Abu Dhabi using a DPI test and staying for more than 48 hours, must take a PCR test on day 3 of entry, and another PCR test on day 7 if staying for 7 days or more.

The procedures apply to all UAE citizens and residents, except for volunteers in vaccine clinical trials and those vaccinated as part of national vaccination programmes who have active icons (gold star or letter E) on Alhosn app, and should adhere to their respective protocols.
