Meet Allison Wicks,
Managing Director of

(CIOB) Dubai Hub Committee.

Allison’s career spans over two decades in the construction industry. She started her career working with prominent developers and contractors, ascending to the leadership of Qualitaz.

She guides organisations to implement robust quality systems and cutting-edge digital technologies within their companies and projects, resulting in a substantial enhancement of industry standards, a marked reduction in defects, and an overarching improvement in project quality.

Allison has overseen transformative operational changes and spearheaded digitized projects for multimillion-dollar construction ventures across the UK and the Middle East including the iconic Museum of the Future, Cleveland Clinic, Formula 1 Abu Dhabi, and Expo2020.

Allison holds the position of Vice Chair for the Chartered Institute of Building's Dubai committee, a prestigious professional body.

She also serves as a mentor to aspiring construction professionals, imparting her extensive knowledge and experience to nurture the next generation of construction industry leaders.

Looks like someone forgot to tell the chef that a Caesar salad is supposed to have more than just lettuce and dressing! 😂🥗.

The Caesar salad is a great analogy for quality in construction. Just like this Caesar salad which is missing key ingredients, it cannot be considered a complete dish. Construction work that lacks important components cannot be considered quality and completed work.

To deliver quality construction work, we need to ensure that all the critical components are in place. This includes proper planning and design, skilled and experienced workers, high-quality materials, and adherence to safety standards and building codes.

If any of these components are missing, the quality of the construction work suffers, just like a Caesar salad without the classic ingredients is not a complete dish..

It is important to consider the necessary permits, noise restrictions, existing work, materials, coordination with other trades, etc. when writing a method statement.
