I got my passport renewed in just about 06 hours. As an Indian expat in UAE, I want to share my positive experience with the Tatkal service offered by BLS, Dubai, for passport renewal! 😊

Expedited services like Tatkal can be a lifesaver for Indian passport holders when they need a quick renewal. It's especially beneficial when you have upcoming travel plans and need your passport back quickly. The additional fees are often worth it to avoid stress or worry about receiving your passport in time. It's also worth noting that I didn’t have any changes or amendments to my passport details; otherwise, it might take a day or two.

Checking the validity of your passport well in advance before travelling is indeed crucial. The validity requirements vary between countries, but most destinations require a passport to be valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date. These requirements are necessary to avoid being denied entry or facing difficulties during travel.

And do keep track of entry stamps: Even if your passport is still valid, certain countries require you to have blank visa pages available. Over time, as you receive entry and exit stamps from different countries, these pages may fill up. Keeping track of the available pages is good practice to avoid any inconvenience during your journey.

Maldives has been one of my top-selling destinations ever since I started my journey as a Travel Counsellor.

I love history & culture and have always preferred cooler, greener destinations, since I get enough sunshine as a Dubai expat 🙂 So, I wanted to understand what about Maldives compels travellers not to visit once or twice but year after year.

And talk about luck! This year, I visited the Maldives thrice in three months, stayed in 07 fabulous 05-star resorts, and visited another 02 resorts. I have fallen in love with this Island nation.

During one of my stays, I met a gentleman who has been visiting Maldives every year since 1998; this time, he had gotten his mother, wife and his son and fiancee to holiday together! And, most interestingly, this was the first time, he was repeating a resort. He was so impressed by their services - a great indicator of how good the services are in this particular resort.

The first trip was with my teenager, an avid sun, sand & sea fan. She can't wait to go back. Tried snorkelling for the first time, and loved it. The desire is now to get a PADI license.

The second was an awesome mega trip hosted by 04 amazing properties. Speedboat, seaplane, domestic flight --I experienced them all. Extraordinary marine life- baby black tip sharks, eagle rays, nurse sharks, spinner dolphins, trevally & more

The final trip was with the Atmosphere Group. Many thanks to Amr Khamis for organising the terrific FAM trip. My happiest moment was the turtle viewing right from the jetty. I have been selling the Atmosphere hotels for some time now, but having stayed in them; I can continue to promote them with utmost confidence.
