Legalization of Student Stay in Poland

I would like to shed some light on an important topic for all the people that wish to study in the beautiful city of Warsaw, Poland - the legalization of stay.

Let's dive into the details!

First and foremost, it is essential to secure admission to a recognized educational institution in Warsaw. Once you have been accepted, the next step involves applying for a temporary residence permit at the Office for Foreigners in Warsaw. This permit is issued specifically for students and it grants us the right to stay in Poland for the duration of our studies.

To apply for a temporary residence permit, you will need a set of documents, such as a valid passport, proof of acceptance or enrollment at a Polish university, a health insurance policy, and financial statements to demonstrate your ability to support yourself during your stay. It is important to gather all the necessary paperwork and submit a complete application to avoid any delays or complications.

After submitting your application, it usually takes a few months for the decision to be made. If approved, you will receive a temporary residence card, which serves as official proof of your legal stay in Poland. Remember to keep your residence card valid at all times and carry it with you, as it may be requested by authorities during random checks.

Finally, please note that the temporary residence permit needs to be renewed annually, aligning with the academic year. This renewal process typically involves submitting updated documentation and reapplying to extend your stay.

If you have any questions regarding the process or need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to us 🙂
