A Washington school changed its auction strategy and brought in more than $100,000 as a result.
Pop Art-style stickers of superhero phrases covered the walls in one of the silent auction rooms.
Pop Art signs identified each of the auction categories, with masks and other superhero props decorating the tables.
After the cocktail reception and silent auction, guests headed across the street for a three-course dinner catered by Occasions Caterers in the school's gym, where the red, blue, yellow, and black hero-theme decor continued.
Bakery-Inspired Decor
Planners used edible decor to bring the history of Weston Family Foods to life at a company's annual group meeting.
Here are a couple of food trends for corporate gatherings.
Photos from a beautiful and artsy fund raiser event.
Guests entered the dinner tent through a tunnel of silver balloons, could check out artwork and in the cocktail tent, the ceiling was strung with upside-down umbrellas, disco balls, and balloons shaped like stars and twisted into shapes reminiscent of Chihuly's glass sculptures.

These creepy twins were part of a stunt to promote director Tim Burton's fantasy film Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children in London.
The stunt, which was staged by 20th Century Fox and marketing and PR agency Premier, had two 6-year-old actors wearing costumes and posing as characters from the film. Passersby were given unusual photo ops, as the twins participated in activities such as fighting over a teddy bear, playing a Victorian-style kickabout game, and snapping pictures with a selfie stick.
This is a wonderful example of marketing an event in a more physical and interesting way.

Let's be real; ordering the same food to work everyday could be tiresome. Also, it could sometimes be a little frustrating being creative with food to pack to bring into the office.
So, here are a few wonderful ideas up to inspire your taste buds! Events are wonderful and beautiful, but we can't forget to feed ourselves, now can we?
These meals, snacks, and desserts are ideal for lunch meetings on the go!
Creative Ideas for Conference Activities
Savvy planners know that what takes place before, after, and in-between conference sessions can be just as valuable for attendees as the content itself.
Clever, unexpected activities can make the experience more interesting for guests—and keep them talking about it long after the program ends.
New digital photo centrepiece serves as decor and fund-raising tool.
The system includes interactive features for event guests. They can use the device to take photos that are also instantly added to the slide show. Using the iPads' touch screens, guests can also share the images on Facebook and Twitter, send them via email, add comments to the photos, and order printed copies to pick up from a kiosk on site. The standard package includes one free printed photo per guest, but hosts can also use the system for fund-raising by allowing guests to order additional photos using a PayPal account.
The iPads are framed in black, white, or clear trim, which can be customised with a logo or event name. Logos can also be added to the digital and printed photos. Package pricing includes the iPads, slide show creation, and staff at the event to take photos and produce printed copies, and varies depending on how many iPads are placed at each table. Afterward, the host receives a physical scrapbook of all photos used in the slide show.
FX's Comic-Book-Inspired Art Exhibit
Incorporating funky ideas to make an art exhibit even more interesting! Keeping up with modern trends, going above and beyond and technology is key for a successful event!
The 41st annual Wolf Trap Ball in Vienna, Virginia, used outdoor-inspired decor, surprise speakers, and special effects to honour the National Parks Service’s 100th anniversary!
Lighting, lectern selection, and accessibility are all key components in producing a successful stage setup for speakers.
Setting up a stage for speakers and presenters may seem like an uncomplicated matter compared to creating an elaborate performance platform. But the success of a presentation—and of the people delivering their messages—depends on nuanced (and sometimes overlooked) details like size, lighting, and accessibility, as well as the right selection of microphones and lecterns.
Absolutely stunning inspiration from a Silent Auction from Washington. Not only does it give you a rustic yet modern feel, but it also gives you a very warm, somewhat 'homey' atmosphere. Definitely fun and fresh!

August being one of the hottest months of the year, it comes to no surprise that sunflowers are this months favourite flowers! Or so says David Tutera, celebrity wedding planner!
Sunflowers convey the sun itself which gives a sense of happiness, warmth and devotion

Zinnia flowers are in this season, and we could see why! They're so colourful and beautiful!
They're perfect for livening up gardens and even better in bouquets! They're tolerant to drought and a sun loving flower, therefore it's perfect for the smack middle of summer.
