This year began with a transformative experience, a 5-day meditation retreat I attended that left me inspired and deeply hopeful. The retreat was guided by the esteemed Rinpoche Shyalpa Tenzin, a spiritual leader whose teachings reminded us of a profound truth: Inner transformation is the first step to Global peace.

We gathered at INTAAYA, in Nusa Penida, with such breathtaking views, meditating there felt effortless. is a peice of heaven.

The purpose of our gathering was simple yet profound: to create a sacred space for cultivating inner peace, co-creating resilience, and inspiring meaningful change.

What stood out to me most was the realization that it all begins within. Inner peace isn’t just a personal journey .. it’s the spark that ignites global harmony.

For 5 days, we meditated with our eyes open! At first, it was a bit difficult, as the main message was LESS DISTRACTION.

NATURE, as always, proved to be a powerful healer. But what struck me even more was the magic of bringing together inspiring individuals. The synergy of shared intentions, the creative energy of co-creation, it’s a buzz like no other.

I left with a deeper commitment to being part of movements that aim to inspire global harmony.

As Rinpoche emphasized, “True change begins within.” When we cultivate peace in our hearts, we create ripples that touch those around us, slowly transforming the world. It’s a truth that feels especially urgent in a world facing so many challenges.

The retreat wasn’t just about meditation; it was a celebration of art and music. Thanks to the incredible musicians and artists who were part of the journey, I reignited my love for music. I’m back to playing again, and maybe.. just maybe ...I’ll sing soon too.

This experience left me hopeful and inspired. It was a reminder that in the face of uncertainty, practices like meditation and reflection are more essential than ever. And it all starts with a single breath .. one deep NAFAS .. a step inward.

The love radiating from every pair of eyes was nothing short of breathtaking. With the majestic mountains standing guard behind us and the dome as our cosmic vessel, it felt like anything and everything was possible.

A heartfelt thanks to the visionary Skykha , for welcoming me back to the enchanting land of Meliha. Introducing you to the stage was an absolute privilege, and your unwavering passion for spreading light and enlightenment is a gift the world truly needs right now.

The TANWEER MUSIC FESTIVAL will take place in the mystical desert of Sharjah, UAE, from November 22-24, 2024.

I’ve had the privilege of hosting Breathwork sessions on the very dunes where the festival will be held, and I can tell you, those nights were among the most magical experiences of my life. Imagine breathing in rhythm with the universe around a crackling fire, under an endless sky full of stars .. pure magic!

It was such an honour speaking to this wonderful group, Muslims in Bali (MIB). A big thanks to the founder and visionary Mohamed Langston for creating such a lovely community.

Sharing the benefits of the breath from a Spiritual perspective just reminded me of how powerful our NAFAS (breath) is.

I shared the connection of breath & prayer, benefits, and tips to incorporate intentional breathing in everyday life, and we ended with a short and sweet breathwork to give everyone a taste and feel of how we can quiet the mind, and listen to our hearts.

As we celebrate seven incredible years of NAFAS JOURNEYS, I find myself reflecting on the journey we've shared.
I often joke that we have four children: our three beautiful daughters, and NAFAS — each one a source of boundless joy & growth.

We’ve journeyed into the depths of plant medicines, written articles, and best-selling books, and spoken at international events and festivals. Every step has been a testament to the power of this work and the incredible community that has formed around it.

As I stand here, looking back at where we started, where we are now, and where we’re headed, I am in awe. We’ve walked this path together, and it fills me with such joy to know that our journey is far from over.

Always a wonderful experience sharing the powers and benefits of the breath with the young men here in Bali.

I have collaborated many times with my brother Aaron from working with students from the Green School and other schools all across Bali.

The work he's doing is much needed and amazing, I've seen it in the way they speak and act. I wish I had a mentor when I was that age.

Breathwork is surely a handy tool for them in life!

“Listen Baby.. Ain’t no mountain high enough!" ~ wise words by my brother Marvin Gaye ⛰️🌄 This was my 11th time summiting Bali’s beautiful volcanic mountain. One thing to summit, and something else when you have your little ones with you for the ride! For Skye, it was her second trip up, her first, a few years back when she was just 7 years old! Standing at 1,771 feet, it was a journey that began at 1:30 am when we drove to base camp. We started our hike at 3:30 am, enjoying a nice 2.5-hour ascent, arriving just 15 minutes before sunrise. On the moonless night, the sky was filled with endless stars—a truly magical sight. I told the girls that the darkest hour is right before dawn, explaining that things sometimes seem the worst right before they improve. It serves as a reminder to me that whenever things are down, the sun is about to shine soon! ☀️ Ain’t no Mountain high enough!! #nafasjourneys #mtbatur #aintnomountainhighenough🎶
