This is former SIV applicant
here information about how to apply and what documents do you need for applying.
1-Firs you should know and study 5 steps of application guides on Afghan SIV official site but the important thingsto know to don’t forget to put case # number DOB in all corespondents subject lines.
2- make sure all your documents should be translated to English and should be submitted in PDF formate and should be marked by ministry of foreign affairs.
3- all HR letters should be for at least 2 years not Lees then 2 years.
4- You should have A signed letter of recommendation from your direct supervisor
5- you should prepare a treat letter and explain how dangerous is living in Afghanistan and why you can’t stay there
6- if you have family member -kids -wife -you should have the translated ID. all documents should be in PDF format. Don’t forget to have an official Nikah Khat mirage certificate
7- summit all required documents to afghan SIV along with form 157 for com Approval
8- wait for com approval
9- when you get you com approval submit required documents and form i360 to USCIS at [email protected]
10- wait for Approval when you get approval you will get a KBL number the US Embassy will schedule a visa interview (important) you must have a termination letter from you company who worked for with goos standing
11- before visa interview fill out DS260 forms visa interview is quiet easy just don’t forget to have all original and color copies of your documents and required photos also don’t forget to print the interview invitation letter email.
12- after interview you will get a yellow card with instructions from your consoler officer
13- you will receive a droop off email take and droop of you passport to embassy
14- you should schedule a medical appointment for you and your family
15- you will receive an collection emails to get your visa and passports
16- apply for IOM and IRC resettlement and fill the form for you final destination
Make sure you collect information regarding States you select for you final destination select cheap states fir you new living style you will receive all benefits when you arrive and will Waite for at least 6 months to start a job during this times the IRC will be responsible to pay your bills and rents in my idea it is better do not wait for IRC or any other organizations to provide you a job just find your dream job by yourself if you have good skill you will be able to afford your family in good manner during your visa processing time make sure study English
At the end I should indicate to don’t forget to have your local driver license
by the way do not select expensive states because you should pay high rent and bills
