A day well spent hiking to two ancient Illyrian fortresses. 🏰 The Illyrian monumental tomb near Petrele fortress and Persqop fortress on the other side of the hill. 🗺️
These ruins date back to the 4th and 3rd centuries BC and are part of the rich Illyrian heritage of Albania. 🇦🇱

The hike to get there is challenging but rewarding, with stunning views of the mountains and the valley. 🌄

We learned a lot about the history and culture of this region and felt a connection with the past. 📚👣

Rruga e re, nga Kuci i Vlores ne Gusmar te Tepelenes.

Distanca mes dy fshatrave behej vetem me 4x4 pasi rruga e vjeter ka qene shume e keqe dhe pjesa me e madhe e saj kalonte ne shtratin e lumit. Me pare merrte te pakten 1 ore e gjysem. Ta besh tani, me nje mjet qyteti, duket e pabesueshme.

New road from Kuc, Vlore to Gusmar, Tepelene.

The distance between these two villages was done only by 4x4 as the old road was very bad and most of it was on the river bed. It used to take at least an hour and a half. Doing it now, with a city car, feels unbelievable.
