Ara was born in Khndzoresk in 1980 where his parents still live today. His parents were born in Old Khndzoresk, known as the City of Caves. Ara spent his childhood exploring the City of Caves, giving tourists a unique opportunity with an experienced local. Before becoming a tour guide, Ara was a chemistry teacher. Ara provides personalized local tours to Tatev and Khndzoresk as well as tours throughout Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.
