The Caribbean is home to some of the world’s most vibrant coral reefs, and when snorkeling, you might spot the stunning parrotfish.

Fun fact: These colorful fish not only brighten up your swim but also help maintain the reef by munching on algae and even creating sand with their unique beaks! 🐠🌊

One of the most important knowledge to have on boats is to know the depth of the ocean floor. This is why nautical charts use ‘contour lines’, showcasing where the depth de- or increases.

Anguilla’s waters are so clear, you almost don’t need a chart to see the depth change!

Baie Longue, one of our favorite beaches, is also home to the Belmond La Samanna hotel.

Built in the 70’s by James Frankel, the hotel was named after his 3 daughters, Samantha, Anouk, and Nathalie, adding the ‘La’ for a little French savoir faire.

The colour of the ocean at Scrub Island never disappoints 😍 it is by far one of our favorite places to go, and for quite a few reasons:

• there’s usually not many boats around
• scrub has perfect white sand beaches
• we love exploring its hidden caves
• there’s a nice trail for discovering the island

We 💛 life by the seaside, for our islands have some of the best anchorages to spend the day 💫✨

This was taken from Anse Marcel beach, one of our calmest bays throughout the year. And it’s always nice when Anguilla is perfectly visible in the background.
