Last night we had the pleasure of having dinner at the beautiful .

Of course the location and set up of the restaurant is marvelous but the quality of food and service is even better!

If you are celebrating something and want a special dinner experience make sure to visit this restaurant located in The Cliff in Cupecoy.

We started with an assortiment of starters which we shared.
After this we had the Duck, Mahi crusted with pistachios, tortellini Porcini and the fish special which was Tuna with blue cheese and artichokes.
We finished by sharing the profiteroles.

Thank you Mario for the delicious dishes and Jean-Gustave for the excellent service and friendship.

For now we wish our friends Chris Vermeulen and Monique Verhoeven happy holidays!

Low season means we have time to catch up with friends.

We enjoyed a very nice beach day at friars bay and had lunch at .

This beach is really nice also with kids and you can choose between 3 bars/restaurants.

Our youngest turned 3 yesterday and we had this incredible cake made for him!

If you are ever planning a celebration on Sint Maarten and need a gorgeous but also delicious cake on island is the perfect person to make your party a little extra special!

You might have heard that Le Bistro Nu in Marigot has changed owner/chef recently. Although both have been in the restaurant scene on the island for years, they started this new adventure in a well known location. The location is across from the stadium in Marigot, close to the Morrocan restaurant in the alley.

There is a new menu (see pictures) and they also have changing specials daily.

We chose the foie gras (pate) and beef tartare as starters and the Aioli shrimps and veal head as main courses. We topped it off with the raspberry napoleon and the profiteroles special. All were excellent and in some cases even the best we have had on island!

The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Prices are really reasonable. 2 starters, 2 main, 2 desserts, 2 coffee, a bottle of water and a bottle of Pinot noir all for 140$/€ (same).

They are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for lunch and dinner!

We look forward to returning to try all the other great options.

Have you been to in Sint Maarten?

A great activity for kids and adults!

160 birds 🦜🦜🦜 flying around in this huge netted area. They will give you little feeders and the birds will come to you and sit on the feeder (or your arm/head).

The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.

For the kids you will also find a nice playground and they serve some cold drinks and ice cream too.

We came home last week and ofcourse had to go to our favorite restaurant!

We are not all in the same boat but we are all in the same storm.

All our units either have a generator or chargeable lights and fans to make the power interruptions as bearable as possible.

Celebrating a birthday or anniversary?

Yesterday our guests arrived to celebrate the 26th birthday of one of them. She was very surprised to find the balloons when arriving at the property 🎈🎈🎈

On Friday we celebrated our anniversary in this beautiful restaurant in Grand Case: Bistrot Caraïbes.

As starters we chose the Duo of Saint Jacques & shrimps and the Goat cheese with smoked duck. Both were delicious but if I had to choose 1 I would go for the Duo for sure.

As main dishes we had the Fisherman platter and the Veal with blue cheese.

As we are cheese lovers we shared the cheese platter for dessert and ended with coffee.
