Our Story
Visit our farmgate located across the road from our farm - the only commercial oyster farm on Kangaroo Island. Not a restaurant, fish and chip shop or a fish monger - we are a unique farm gate experience.
We farm Pacific Oysters, and using two farming techniques, produce our Deep Water Premiums and Coastal Creams. Deep Water Premiums are reknown for their frilly, ornate shell with plump, succulent meat; Coastal Creams rumbled by the surf producing a clean smooth shell with delicious meat that fills the shell.
The Oyster Farm Shop is a provedore of Kangaroo Island aquaculture and local sustainable seafood including Kangaroo Island Abalone, King George Whiting, Marron, smoked fish/oysters/mussels and a range of locally made sauces and condiments to complement our products.
Taste from the Local Produce Farmshop menu, but dont expect silverware, fine china or table service - expect delicious, fresh, local produce prepared simply to share with friends along with local wines, ciders and ales! Alternatively gather up a feast of island produce to prepare and enjoy at your accommodation. Either way, a visit to the Oyster Farm Shop is a must for the freshest oysters on Kangaroo Island.
