Having spent over 10 years as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator, plus 4 postgraduate years learning about photography, countless hours painting, drawing, seeing and learning, you could say that I am a creative person… or a dreamer, maybe a collector of interesting things… Creativity is definitely a calling! I am a designer - it just happens, and I cannot escape the urge to be creative! I love to
create representations of what people do (aka: LOGOS), when I see a beautifully designed book, I am ecstatic, and leave me in a paper, art or book shop, you will not see me for a week! I have designed brochures, logos, books, corporate reports, invitations, you name it - if it's printed I have probably at one stage or another, designed one. Just don't ask me to use Comic Sans or Times Roman...
I photograph things as I see them, a little differently but not completely out there! (Although I did once have a 1m photograph of a piece of toilet paper on a gallery wall...) Seeing beauty in weird and wonderful or unusual places, noticing colour in drabness, a shape in a muddle, a thoughtful gaze, fun, love, joy and energy – this is how I shoot my photographs. When I come home, I am a mother to 2 beautiful girls, a wife to a wonderful man, a friend to many, a painter, and of course, a holiday planner! I teach others to enjoy movement and exercise and how it can empower them to live in the moment, through group fitness classes, and I try to pass on whatever good I can to my children.
