Hello school holidays!! We have near perfect conditions for the next few days with this warmer than usual winter. Time to get the kids off those devices and have some outdoor fun exploring and fishing the mighty Baffle.
We have junior kayaks, single kayaks, double kayaks, fishing kayaks and Standup paddleboards for hire everyday 9am to 4pm over the school holidays.

Entries are now open for the annual Baffle Creek Family Fishing Festival. A week of fishing and fun for the whole family.
If your thinking 'would love to enter but I don't have a boat'. You don't need one!! We offer a Kayak & Fish package with hire rates starting from just $35 for 2hrs. Pros of Kayak fishing, glide silently to not scare off the fish, access to shallow/narrow spots boats can't get to, plus get to see more sealife like our resident turtles that you may miss travelling at speeds in a noisy motor boat.

The Paddler's Guide to Queensland 2nd Edition.
I received my copy yesterday, thank you Global Paddler.
A fantastic little book when your looking for some great waterways to explore when travelling around Queensland.
And yes Baffle Creek is featured in the book including a picture on the back page. Can you guess which one??

Tomorrow morning (Tuesday) is
'Locals Social Paddle'.
I have a few spots available for tomorrows paddle for any locals wishing to join us for some yak fun.

Turtle Update !!!
Today I was invited to watch the release of the turtle that was rescued in Baffle Creek in August last year after she was found in distress from being hit by a boat.
She was rescued by Safe Haven - AACE, a volunteer rescue property in Mount Larcom that is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of native Australian wildlife. She was then transported to Australia Zoo and Seaworld for rehabilitation, and transported back this week for release.
