An Ancient Story to Take Flight at Uluru
Ayers Rock Resort at Uluru has announced the debut of a major new attraction, combining ancient First Nations storytelling with state-of-the-art drone and laser light technology.

Developed in partnership with the local Anangu people, Wintjiri Wiru (“a beautiful view out to the horizon”) will be the first time a light, laser projection and drone experience of this magnitude has been performed on a regular basis anywhere in the world.

The show will begin from 11 May 2023 and feature over 1,000 luminous drones lifting ancient images to the sky, bringing to life a chapter of the Mala ancestral story of which the Anangu are custodians. A consultation group with the traditional owners has been involved in naming the experience, advising on the visuals, narrating the story in English, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara languages and delivering the music, ensuring every level of the experience is shared with respect.

Late last year, we shared with you the jaw dropping Emirates video that saw one of its flight attendants standing at the top of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Well, the airline has done it again but this time they have upped the difficulty level by adding one of their A380 aircraft into the mix, complete with an Expo 2020 Dubai paint job.

To film this latest viral marketing campaign, the plane had to undertake an expert low flight around the Burj Khalifa no less than 11 times, at an altitude of only 2,700 feet and at slow speeds of just 145 knots.
