This amazing dragon-prowed Viking Ship fire pit, complete with removable fire box, was finished and collected last week 🔥
As much work as this one might appear to have been for the Hepworth Plasma Craft side of the business, I can guarantee it was much more again for the Hepworth Metalworks branch! All the effort was worthwhile when the new owners are so happy with the result, and we're grateful for their beautiful photos of it in place and ready to go! 🤩
Russell was questioning himself every step of the way on this one, so feel free to tell him how awesome you think the result is! 😅👨‍🏭➡️

This broken hinge on a trailer ramp led to the whole thing being dropped off at the workshop, still with the buggy loaded on, since clearly the ramps were now no longer functional. Solved the problem by grinding off all of the old hinges and replacing them with newer, bigger, stronger hinges, and more of them to boot. 👨‍🏭👍

A CNC plasma cut drink holder for your tool box seems a bit like extravagant overkill to me, but Russell assures me it's only that he cut it to put on the forklift and hadn't got around to using it yet so put it here instead 🤔 ... I am also not convinced that our forklift is so heavily used that it needs a drink holder either 😂

Something a little bit different! I fabricated a draw bar for this dolly from scratch, so that our client can tow this trailer using their tractor. Complete with neat plasma cut pivot points.

Yesterday Lee-Anne accepted certificates of appreciation for our donation of a gift voucher and welcome sign to Huntlee Mums' Ladies Night silent auction last year, raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Lee-Anne and friends were also very happy attendees of the event! 🍾🥂😉

This was on Russell's personal wish list for a long time, and would probably still be there except for a client request that bumped it up the list! So after prototypes, and testing, and revisions, and final designs and builds for the client and for ourselves, and now having been used weekly by each of us for a few months with no issues, we're ready to see if there's any more demand out there for heavy duty bin trailers!

Price will vary, mostly depending on the wheels. $880 including GST if you provide your own wheels, $100-$200 extra depending on what's available if I source them myself. And a couple hundred more on top of that if you want bearings, but I've been using WD40 instead 😆

Heavy duty enough to bounce behind the quad, or the ride on mower, or the ute, etc. Lightweight enough that the one time Lee-Anne's had to do it herself she could easily unhook and manually turn the trailer around instead of having to reverse it 😉

Highly recommend, don't know why it took so long to make it! 😂

This neat bit of work is a cage for a solar powered pump. The roof of the cage will have the solar panels attached to it by the client. Includes lifting lugs on the base (see cross post by Hepworth Plasma Craft!) so that the cage can be more easily moved around.

This modification of adding dividers to a calf feeder is designed to stop bully calves from shoving their neighbours out of the way and stealing their milk once they've finished their own.

Well, here's a job I hated! You might have heard me say that if I can't do a job while standing on a milk crate then I'm not doing it, but I made an exception to replace a fitting on this centre pivot. The things you have to do when you don't have an employee to make do it 😂

As the Bluey episode says "boring things are important too"! Working hinges is all it took for this horse yard to be usable again for the future.

Our first useful process with the cnc plasma! These 6 mm thick washers will replace the bearings of a centre pivot irrigator's wheels that no longer need to change direction away from their standard circle, removing the need to constantly replace worn but unnecessary bearings.

Some neat patching done in the paddock to get this side roll irrigator operational again after it tore itself apart. The convenience of mobile repairs! Second photo shows the completed repairs in the background, ready to go.

Happy with the curvature on the patch repair for this pipe reducer! A grinder for the cutting, a square and chalk for marking, and just a hammer for shaping this schmick curved patch! Fixed in an hour or so in the field, instead of waiting 2+ weeks for a replacement.
