Are you doing some open water swimming? Here are our top 5 tips on sighting 🙂
🐬 Sight often; try to sight every 8 - 12 strokes.
🐬 Lift your head so your goggles are only just out of the water, CROCODILE eyes. Avoid breathing to the front.
🐬 Feel the swell move beneath your body, lift your head (sight) at crest of the waves.
🐬 Try to swim towards a larger marker (landmark, building) that aligns with the buoy that you are swimming towards. This makes sighting easier.
🐬 Avoid just simply following other swimmers.
If all else fails….
🧜♂️ Stop and take a good look at where you are swimming towards 😜
