One trouble with driving for Uber is finding car insurance that will cover ride sharing such as Uber. PartnerPeople have confirmed that elders car insurance will cover cars used for ride sharing.

well this week had a problem. ran over something. and cut my fuel lines. $500 and 3 days later i got my car back so only earned $631 this week but not bad considering i could only do 3 days work. although i did 2 12 hour days to make up for the time down. Hoping i can complete a full week's work next week for the first time.

Well didn't make it back out yesterday but today i felt well enough to finally put a full days work in. Its now 4 PM and i just finished for the day and i earned $224.02 for the day. Not bad at all. I originally thought all the hype about how much you could earn was all made up just like most companies but it actually looks like its possible to earn over $1000 p/w. Not taking into account fuel and car maintenance.

Getting a lot of posts saying page is fake and that Uber is illegal. I am not fake what i am is a driver for Uber and i just started on Monday. I originally started this page to get information about what its like to drive for Uber and if there are any experienced drivers out there we could connect through this page to offer hints and tips to other drivers. Also Uber is offering a commission for signing up so the sign up link does give me a commission if someone signs up and start's driving and i have paid to advertise it to both earn the commission and get others to see this page hoping for other drivers to link up.

I also deleted all the negative comments as i was not expecting it and i'm probably naive but thought that if it was an illegal practice that police would go to Uber's website and find the sign up offices listed on the Uber site and fine or arrest them and shut them down. I probably should have left the comments up as everyone is entitled to their opinion but now thats its done its done. Also I am a licensed limo driver although cant get a job (last job was 2010 not through lack of trying applying for anything) so i could say i'm a limo driver who gets trips via Uber's app.

Anyway for those that are thinking of signing up to drive i thought i would share my experiences so far. The first day i only worked 2 hours starting at 6 am and got 3 trips before having to go to an early morning appointment at 8am then the second day (Today). I started work at 6:30 am and got 5 trips with a noticeable drop off of trips by 10am as peak hour ended so decided to go home. at 10:30am so far now being 11 am on my second day having driven for 6 hours i have had 8 trips and the app has taken $159.21 from pickups and after paying tolls out of that and Uber taking their cut i'm left with $137.81. due to not feeling the best from a non contagious illness i'm off to bed and if i'm feeling fine after that will do some more this afternoon.

All the people i have picked up have been very nice and happy with the service and my only hick-up was to follow the app's navigation which is very hard to see on my phone as its so small. so i have an iPad one with cellular and one wifi only. the wifi only model tethered to my mobile for data and GPS was unusable(massive lag renders using it for navigation impossible and not sure if trip data would be accurate either). but the cellular one works great and now have a sim in it that shares the data from my mobile. I have it mounted to a windshield mount sitting behind my steering wheel on the right hand side and fits there nicely.

The only other trouble was following the in app navigation it once tried to get me to drive through a building. so i had to find my own way around it which wasn't too difficult but resulted in probably driving an extra 2 km's more than i probably had needed and having to make a uturn which is never good in efficient travel.
