So it turns out, we have never actually shared who we are, or the story behind our little Burramine Haven. So here it is..

We are the Middletons.. a busy, crazy family of 4.
James is a carpenter by Trade, and the dreamer and goal setter of the partnership.. whilst Tara an Early Childhood Professional, is the one who somehow always ends up agreeing to the crazy ideas and hard work ahead, but with equal excitement and passion.
We both grew up locally in Yarrawonga/Mulwala and have been an inseparable (and very busy) duo since high school. ❤️
We first invested in Burramine in 2011, knowing the beautiful open spaces, and Bush backdrop were exactly where we wanted to raise a family, and low and behold, we are now living in our third house out of 4 in a row (a Burramine record I’m sure).. so if that doesn’t tell you how much we love the area, I don’t know what will. 🤣
In 2019, we took a massive leap, selling the family home we had built & loved, and buying Rosebrooke Rose farm. It was 3 1/2 acres of rundown roses, arbours, trees, sheds and overgrown mess. With it came this quaint retro cottage house that we had originally planned to remove, until a new vision, that of Burramine Haven came to life.
We lived in and face lifted the home for 18mths, whilst also building a new forever home for us and our tribe. We laughed, cried and almost killed ourselves with exhaustion, but couldn’t be prouder of how far this little house has come.
We hope that all our guests experience the magic of the bush, and a peaceful and memorable getaway with those they love, in a little piece of Burramine heaven. 🍃

Today marks 12 mths since we opened the doors to our little piece of paradise at Burramine Haven.
248 guests, 39 bookings, and a global pandemic that meant more lockdowns and cancellations than we could count.
I think we’ve done pretty well..
It’s made me anxious, its made me exhausted, it’s made me want to cry.. but it’s also made me smile at all the happy memories we’ve been able to help make for other Families.
Here’s to the next 12 months.. may it be kind to us, and to our guests. ❤️
