After being cancelled a day before it was due to start, this year's Byron Bay Bluesfest has been rescheduled and will now happen on the Labour Day long weekend in early October.
The festival will shrink to a four-day event, but organisers also promise new Australian artists will be added to the new line-up, which is expected to be announced next Wednesday.
Ticketholders will need to transfer their passes for the new event or obtain a refund.
"At this time, all current Bluesfest 2021 ticketholders will receive official communication from Moshtix and will be given information on how to roll over to the new event, with the option to request a refund remaining available," the festival said in a statement.
Promoter Peter Noble will be hoping it is a case of third time lucky.
Last year's event was called off amid escalating COVID concerns just a week before the first act was due to hit the stage.
Then earlier this year the NSW Government pulled the plug on the festival just day before it was due to start.
That move came after a now notorious hen's party from Brisbane led to a single case of community COVID transmission in the Byron area.
