Some people have a major misconception that video surveillance cameras are the be all to end all. We got a call the other day from a major developer wanting security on his site. He decided the cost of a guard was too expensive & opted for the cheap ineffective rout of cameras. I explained the pros and cons & wished him luck. Not even 48 hours later he rings me at 2am freaking out about his cameras being activated by something & asked us to attend the site for a patrol. Upon our arrival theives had cleaned the place out. Copper, machinery was smashed, radio equipment stolen, we stopped counting broken house windows after aprox 200. Walls smashed etc etc etc. the end result was just over 1.8 million dollars of theft & damage. This was one of the only images obtained by the cameras. End result no identification of the offenders no arrests absolutely nothing. Unfortunately all i could say was I TOLD YOU SO🤦‍♂️.

He was absolutely gutted about his poor decision and said imagine how much security i could have had for the cost of the damage & insurance claims & massive down time. So people please stop putting faith in these pathetic cameras all they do is let you watch the crime. The criminal of today has absolutely zero concern for your CCTV, he just covers himself up & has a field day.

Unfortunately CCTV IS 100% ineffective of crime prevention. It may deter the 8 year old child on his bmx riding through the area but the serious theif just looks at it as small inconvenience because he has to wear a hoodie & a pair of gloves. Unfortunately though some people never learn.

K9 Security Tracking (Schutzshep Keiva)

Very first time tracking. This track was the second track of the day. Already on a cold track doing a 200 metre search.

We have been deployed to clean up residential areas around Newport, residents have had a gut-full of youth crime in the area. Between car theft, break ins & assault. It hasn’t stopped for these people in months. We have pretty well put a stop to it over night. Grubs don’t like trained Dogs. Have a look at this cctv footage i was given of a car theft at around 6am in the morning. Not only did they steal these poor people’s family car they came back around 3 minutes later and stole the other vehicle. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. Make sure you watch till the end.
