How deadly to welcome these home-boys onstage in their own community! Australia’s roots, reggae, rock royalty ZENNITH are more than a band, they represent a strong cultural and musical legacy that defies limitation. ❤️💛🖤

As custodians of Buluwai Country – the rainforest people of Kuranda in Far North Queensland, Zennith are three generations deep in a musical dynasty.

The centrepiece of Zennith rests with the Brim family. Brothers ADEN BRIM: vocals, songwriter, guitar, drums ASTRO BRIM: vocals, guitar, songwriter, keys, drums and their father WILLIE BRIM: Songwriter, vocals, keys, guitar form the nucleus of the sound and direction.

Not only do they bring a passion and love for music but also a very tight musicianship, which pours onto the stage with ease and humility. Their energy on stage and ability to connect with the crowd is unsurpassed and it’s little wonder ZENNITH are finding their place in the stars.

We are heart broken to be announcing the passing of our much loved Boon Wurrung, Dja Dja Wurrung, Woiwurrung and Yorta Yorta senior Elder, Brother, Uncle, Great Uncle Jack Charles, who passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Before he passed away, his family were able to send him off on Country during a smoking ceremony at the Royal Melbourne hospital.

Uncle Jack died at the RMH after suffering from a stroke.

We are so proud of everything he has achieved in his remarkable life - Elder, actor, musician, potter, activist, mentor, a household name and voice loved by all - as is demonstrated by his numerous awards including this year’s NAIDOC Male Elder of the Year.

He will live on in our hearts and memories and through his numerous screen and stage roles. May he be greeted by his Ancestors on his return home.

The family have given their permission to use his name and images.

A STATEMENT BY AMOS AND EBAN ROACH ON BEHALF OF THE ROACH FAMILY

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Gunditjmara (Kirrae Whurrong/Djab Wurrung), Bundjalung Senior Elder, songman and storyteller Archie Roach.

Archie passed, surrounded by his family and loved ones, at Warrnambool Base Hospital after a long illness. We thank all the staff who have cared for Archie over the past month.

Archie wanted all of his many fans to know how much he loves you for supporting him along the way.

We are so proud of everything our dad achieved in his remarkable life. He was a healer and unifying force. His music brought people together.

A private ceremony will follow.

We ask that the media please respect the family’s privacy.

Archie’s sons, Amos and Eban Roach, have given permission for Archie’s name, image and music to be used, so that his legacy will continue to inspire.

Happy International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem!

They are the filter to the Great Barrier Reef from the Wet Tropics - and the nursery for the GBR, as well as a playground, supermarket, hardware store and pharmacy for tens of thousands of years here in the Tropics.

On this International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem, learn why caring for our coastal ecosystem is important.
