Chiltern Tourism & Development have made the hard decision to cancel our Proposed Market being held in the Tourist Park Main St Chiltern this Sunday 1.12.24

We have been very lucky over the last 4 years and this is our first Market we have had to cancel.

We have had an unprecedented amount of rain over the past week and most of the run of water in Chiltern channels itself through our park into the large storm water drain located within the park grounds. We are due for rain again Saturday (estimated 35mm) and websites are indicating possible rain on Sunday through to 11 am.

This combined with current toilet upgrades that have commenced last week at the park, we find that some 10 sites will be affected and would need to be reallocated.
The area has had vehicles over the area and other holes dug and refilled leaving the surface in the main area unusable.

Under our permit conditions we have to also look at our Risk Assessment and, taking this into consideration we have made the decision to Cancel.

We are devastated as this is always a very profitable market prior to Christmas. We apologise for any inconvenience and wish you all good health and happiness at this time of year.

Thank you all for your support again over the past year. Chiltern Loves our markets days.

This has altered the layout for several Stallholders so please be patient & understanding as this has just been advised to co ordinators.

But all is good and we’ll work around it so that our Market is another huge success as we are fully booked with fantastic stall holders.

Hung Up Wallpaper received the following glowing feedback from our recent job we completed- thank you Jo-anne and Richard for your kind words!

"When it came to the decision to have wallpaper throughout our 1920’s restored bungalow there was only one choice…

We had to have an expert hang it.

Past DIY wallpaper experiences were hard frustrating work which usually produced a disappointing, poor standard job and a waste of expensive wallpaper. There is no need to put yourself through this experience ever again when there is an expert who can help you with your wallpaper project.

Keeping in mind the wallpapers of today are such a fabulous improvement on the wallpapers of the past.

Wallpaper creates such depth, character and layers in your home.

However, not just older style homes can benefit from the uniqueness wallpaper gives a room but also modern houses…

We first were lucky enough to have Roger from Hung Up Wallpaper complete the murals and wallpaper feature walls in our brand new home. The effect was stunning and turned our minimalist home into a place with interest and depth. When it came to selling the property it was sort after for its beautiful walls. Therefore, selling for top dollar and quickly.

Hence in restoring our bungalow we definitely wanted to make use of the beauty and layers wallpaper gives your home. Also within keeping with the wallpapered homes of the 1920s.

When it came to the best advice and hands on experience in hanging wallpaper, Hung Up Wallpaper and Roger was where we needed to go.

The knowledge of Hung Up Wallpaper goes back to Roger’s apprenticeship in the in the United Kingdom and spans many years of professional decorating thereafter - then we were lucky enough to have his expertise come to Australia.
His advice makes choosing to use wallpaper so much easier for the client and his years of hands on experience sees an efficient application and a magnificent end result.

I can’t recommend Hung Up Wallpaper and Roger enough! He made our experience with wallpaper an effortless, exciting and happy one. The hardest part was picking from the many beautifully made stunning wallpapers and murals there are to choose from today.

There are so many online wallpaper shops with a multitude of styles, designs, textures and colours. You can be as flamboyant as you can possibly imagine or plain and minimalist giving your surfaces just a touch of interest or texture.

The artist in me has become hooked on wallpaper and wishes that I had more walls to apply paper to. In complete contrast my husband is a finance man and not very artistic at all. However, after 2 homes wallpapered by Hung Up Wallpaper and Roger his fear and reluctancy towards wallpaper has completely gone and he appreciates the difference wallpaper can make to your space.

As a home owner wallpaper gives my home a depth of character, layers, design, texture and warmth I just can’t achieve with paint alone. I must also mention here that I was pleased with how affordable the choice to wallpaper was…

more affordable than you may think!!!

I used to say “never again” to wallpaper because of past experiences in the 70s and early 80s. Not anymore! - with Roger’s expertise, knowledge and experience, coupled with the well made gorgeous wallpapers of today, (making wallpapering easier than it has ever been) I now say “always!” to wallpaper.

Thank you Hung Up Wallpaper and Roger,
Richard and Jo-Anne Swain"

Sunday 1.9.24 get ready for Spring and visit Missy’s Garden

Almost there, folks! Today, I'm sorting plants for the Chiltern Market this weekend. The pictures below are just the beginning of what will be available on the day.
The first pumpkins, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes and (hopefully) some eggplants and chillies will be ready, along with some other veg.
I hope to see some of you there!
