Welcome to the Andrea's White House....dual key self-contained accommodation located on 5 acres of bush at Crackenback halfway between Jindabyne and Thredbo. It is special place, quiet and yet close to the all year-round fun in Kosciusko National Park.
We offer country comfort with contemporary style that will have you feeling at home in no time. Relax and unwind with family and friends, enjoy time together and reconnect with those you love.
Being on our own 5 acres of Australian Bush it allows you to connect with nature and relax a little, take some time to unwind yet we are close to all the attractions and experiences of the Snowy Mountains.
In winter it is a quick 20 min drive to Thredbo and a 5 min drive to the Perisher ski tube. Be on snow without traffic hassles, makes for a great start to the day. We are at an elevation of 1200m and often covered in snow during winter, it does not happen all the time but when it does it is magical.
Our dual key property has two self-contained accommodation options
Residence – this will sleep 10 in comfort and is perfect for extended family and friends. We offer a full kitchen, lounge dining with a double-sided wood fire, 4 bedrooms each with their own bathroom and a TV room with 2 single day beds. Underfloor heating is a bonus in winter.
Retreat - This is the most wonderful cosy get away when it is just the 2 of you and it is perfect for couples or a small family. We have a separate queen bedroom and full bathroom. Much larger than your usual a bedroom place.
We also have a tri bunk room that is suitable for 2 children or another couple if they are happy with the tri bunk set up.
Lounge, full kitchen and dining comfortably work for everyone plus underfloor heating & wood fire to set the scene.
Take it all – The Residence & Retreat can be taken as a whole house; we leave the interconnecting door unlocked and then there is plenty of room for all.
Hosts – Greg & Andrea, we relocated back from Sydney and now live on site in separate accommodation and love to welcome our guests and make sure they settle in quickly. Of course, privacy is respected but we are available to help with information and advice on things to see and do.
We love the Snowy Mountains all year round, there is plenty to see and do and you certainly have a clear 4 seasons on show. In winter Greg can usually be found enjoying ski time on the snow fields and is more than happy to provide a local’s knowledge on where to find the best snow!
