What a trip! ☀🌿 🥾🍷👏 New Zealand's Abel Tasman Coastal Track is hands down one of the best hikes on the planet! Perfect hiking conditions, exceptionally well-maintained trails, no snakes, top-notch food and wine, epic sunrises and sunsets, and abundant marine life. The walking is not too difficult and the boutique lodges are a big part of the holiday and lots of fun. Plus, its proximity to Australia means the airfares won’t blow the budget. It's a winner!

🌿☀️ 🥾 Our New Zealand specialist Tamara is loving life on the Abel Tasman Coastal Track this week!

As you can see, the track is mostly well formed, meandering through dense native forest, along lush gullies and beside streams. At regular intervals the trail leads hikers to some idyllic secluded beaches, coves and inlets which will involve a bit of beach walking. The beaches here are stunning! They are among the best in the whole country and mostly accessible only by foot or kayak – which means these pristine patches of paradise are secluded and come with no crowds!

This region of New Zealand is one of the country's sunniest areas, making it a perfect year round destination for a short getaway...even in December...calm ocean waters, quiet beaches, and peaceful walking.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🦌🦭Did you know that the Isle of Arran hosts all of Scotland's 'Big Five' wildlife species – golden eagles, red deer, seals, otters and red squirrels? Wildlife abounds on the island and one of the best ways to encounter these creatures is by walking the 105km Arran Coastal Way, which encircles the island. You’ll spot iconic grey monk seals resting along the shore, golden eagles overhead and red deer inland. They thrive on and around the island. Also look out for sea eagles, dolphins, porpoises, whales and basking sharks. Hairy and loveable Highland cows roam freely on Arran and are not hard to find, adding a picturesque and charming touch to the island’s breathtaking landscapes.
