Great news about our loggerhead turtles 🐢, back from extinction and not taking any notice of the fake news…

Here is some turtle-y good news! 🐢

More than 500 endangered loggerhead turtles have nested at Mon Repos Beach in the biggest nesting influx since the 1970s.

Laying approximately 265,000 eggs, this is incredible conservation news for the endangered species whose numbers have declined by 50–90 per cent over the last 60 years.

Rangers at the Mon Repos Conservation Park believe the increase in nesting females is due to good feeding conditions that have helped build up their bodies in preparation for the breeding season.

Two weeks ago, a group of people stalked our local dolphins, our passengers and crew asked nicely for them to stop, but they refused, driving their jetskis up on baby dolphins. For 4 days it went on, no authority did anything. fisheries , Marintime, National Parks and council were all aware.

Instead of listening they disrespected our wildlife and tried to tarnish our business for standing up for the animals who can’t do it for themselves.

This is the low act of one of those people writing a fake review and trying to spin the narrative to not be accountable for their actions. Please help us by thumbs down the review and if you have a real review for us, please add it so we can drown out these type of people in our community.

Wallis Lake although very shallow (thanks to MidCoast Council’s inaction on dredging) has been turning it on and our NAIDOC cruise today was no exception..
