PLANNED BURN FOR K'GARI/FRASER ISLAND🔥

The Butchulla Aboriginal Corporation is doing a planned burn from today until Thursday (weather permitting) near K'gari Camp adjacent to Woralie Road.

The Department of Environment and Science says the burn is part of the annual hazard reduction and smoke may be seen north of Eli Creek.

Residents and visitors to K'gari / Fraser Island should take precautions with any health conditions.

Motorists are urged to drive to conditions and should not enter any closed areas.

QFES Rural Fire Service and local QPWS teams are providing support.
