Join us in the Atrium Gallery this weekend for the Huon Valley Studio Art Trail. We have a fantastic exhibition for you including ceramics, artworks and of course our multi award winning artist in residence Nicola Oliver. Plus some of our wonderful volunteers are showing up with their own creative works. We open Saturday and Sunday from 10AM till 4PM, and you can call in and grab the trail maps from right now.

Nicola Oliver wins Highest Achieving Exhibitor at the Royal Hobart Show.

Our very own artist in residence has blown the judges away. Nicola entered a staggering 116 pieces of work in in Jewellery, Sewing, Textile, B***s for Breast Cancer, Felting, Beading, Metalwork and Best 4 Piece Exhibit using 4 different mediums.

32 pieces won 1st prizes, 34 pieces won 2nd places, 8 pieces won Most Outstanding Exhibits. And she then went on to take out the Highest Achieving Exhibitor slot.

You can see her work at the Hall and don't forget there will be an extended exhibit this weekend for the Huon Valley Art Trail.

Next weekend, October 26 and 27, the Huon Valley Art Trail is on. The Centre is pleased to be supporting this amazing event helpoing to showcase our amazing local artists. The Atrium Gallery and Hall will be open both days 10-4 and we look forward to seeing you all then.

October Exhibition Open: this month we have local artist Gabrielle Nicoll in the Atrium Gallery. Running through the month of October but get in quick because we have already sold two pieces! And we are open Sunday mornings beginning this weekend.

LAST DAYS: The Phoenix Art Group exhibition closes this Saturday, September 28, at 2PM at the hall in the Atrium Gallery upstairs till the end of September. A few pieces have already found new homes and you can take the piece with you on the day if you purchase.

Presentations will be given from the chair and working parties. This is a chance to put any questions or comments directly to the Board. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

September Exhibition Open: The Phoenix Art Group from Geeveston are our invited artists for this month of September. They commenced 11 years ago in the Geeveston studio of John Osborne. They are a very active group who meet weekly and exhibit in many art shows. Their members work in variety of genres such as acrylics, oils, pastels, watercolours, inks, charcoal and graphite. They also have members who work in linocuts, wood design, sculpture and other mixed media such as collage, felting and reclaimed materials. You can check the works out all this month in the Atrium Gallery at Geeveston Town Hall.

UPDATE: our confirmed food vendors for this month are Yeastie Beastie Doughnuts, Pocket Curries, Cantina de Valle and Waiora Farm Food and Geeveston Primary School. And we are working on additional seating. After all of this wild weather we reckon what we all need is a feed with friends. FEAST is back this Thursday with food trucks and s talls plus the FEAST BAR. We will update you all with the food options soon.
