My final trip of 2024 took me to Turkey with Fez Travel & V Travel Network. Starting and ending in Istanbul, the journey included visits to the Gallipoli Battlefields, the ancient ruins of Troy, Pergamum, and the famous site of Ephesus. I also had the chance to witness the breathtaking natural beauty of Pamukkale’s calcium terraces and the lunar-like landscape of Cappadocia.

Turkey offers an enriching mix of culture, history, and scenic landscapes, with highlights including a Bosphorus cruise, exploring the underground cities of Cappadocia, and visiting iconic Istanbul landmarks like the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque. One of the most memorable experiences was the hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia's fairy chimneys, providing an unforgettable view of the surreal landscape below.

Ending my trip with a stay at the luxurious Raffles Istanbul was the perfect way to unwind in comfort and style, reflecting on the beauty and history of this remarkable country.

2024 has been another year of incredible adventures for me and my clients! Here’s to planning many more amazing trips with you in 2025 ~ Happy New Year 🎉

My next trip of 2024 took me to Mongolia, where I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the unique Mongolian nomadic lifestyle. From the bustling capital of Ulaanbaatar to the vast, remote landscapes of the Gobi Desert and staying in traditional ger camps along the way.

Highlights included exploring ancient historical sites like the UNESCO World Heritage site of Karakorum (once the capital of the Mongol Empire under Genghis Khan), witnessing and climbing the stunning Khongoryn Els sand dunes (the Singing Dunes), and visiting the Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs, renowned for their striking red sandstone formations that glow vividly at sunset.

This trip offered a rare chance to experience Mongolia’s rich history, dramatic landscapes, magical starry nights, and the timeless nomadic way of life - leaving me with a desire to explore even more of its vast, untamed beauty in the future 💛

My second trip of 2024 took me to a completely different destination with Bench Africa.. Namibia 🧡

Namibia is a land of striking contrasts, where stunning landscapes, vibrant wildlife, and rich cultural experiences come together in an unforgettable way. From the towering dunes of Sossusvlei to the rugged Skeleton Coast, each moment was filled with amazement and discovery.

Accommodations like Camp Sossus and Onduli Ridge offered luxurious stays amidst the stunning natural beauty. Seeing Lyon, Rhino, Elephant and Leopards and encountering the iconic Namibian desert elephants added an unforgettable wildlife dimension to the journey.

One of the highlights was spending time with a Himba tribe, a truly unique and enriching experience that provided an intimate look into their fascinating culture & traditions.

This trip was an extraordinary adventure from start to finish. If Namibia isn’t already on your bucket list, it should be. Every corner of this beautiful country offers something incredible.

Can’t wait to share more of my 2024 adventures with you, but before I do, Merry Christmas 🎄

✨ It’s been a while since my last update, and 2024 has been another incredible year of travel - for me and my wonderful clients ✈️ I kicked off the year in February with an amazing trip to Canada with Skimax Holidays, exploring the beautiful Whistler, Sun Peaks, and Vancouver.

I flew with Fiji Airways, experiencing both their economy and business class service. They offer direct flights from Nadi to Vancouver, which is perfect if you’re looking to mix a winter holiday in Canada with a stopover to enjoy some sunshine in Fiji on the way home! ☀️❄️

Whistler and Sun Peaks were the ultimate winter wonderlands with endless snow-covered landscapes, cozy vibes, and a few adventures like zip-lining in Whistler and axe throwing in Sun Peaks. After a day on the slopes, the Scandinave Spa Whistler was the perfect place to unwind. For accommodations, we stayed at Delta Hotels by Marriott Whistler Village Suites, Nancy Greene’s Cahilty Lodge in Sun Peaks, and the luxuriousSutton Place Hotel in Vancouver.

This wasn’t my first time in Vancouver, but every visit reveals something new! This time, I dove into the local culture with a foodie tour on Granville Island and experienced the thrilling FlyOver Canada - an immersive ride that simulates a breathtaking flight across Canada’s most stunning landscapes. It’s an absolute must for anyone looking to experience the country from a whole new perspective!

Stay tuned for more updates on where else I’ve been lucky enough to explore this year ✨

Doha, Qatar 🇶🇦

What a great alternative to Dubai or Abu Dhabi for a Middle Eastern stopover.

We had 2 nights at the end of our trip and stayed in the Souq Waqif marketplace area at the Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels - Al Mirqab. The Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli are a collection of 8 exquisite hotels in the marketplace all within walking distance around the Souq. The souq sells traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It is also home to restaurants and sh**ha lounges with a traditional Arabic feel.

Across the water is the bustling city with modern buildings forming a stunning skyline especially after dark when the buildings light up. There are shopping malls and all the classic hotel chains to choose from.

No visit to the Middle East is complete without a dune bashing, sandboarding, camel riding, falcon holding experience (my fear of birds was at an all time high during this the photo is proof 😂). What a fun adventure this was the drive is about an hour from the city and a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

While I’m waiting for my systems to work (sorry if you’re waiting on a response from me today 🤦‍♀️) here’s some info on our Barcelona stay 🤍

We had 2 nights before our cruise but ideally I would have loved 4 nights to really experience everything this vibrant city has to offer.

Hotel: Kimpton Vividora Barcelona
Located in the Gothic Quarter and less than a 5 minute walk to La Rambla the Kimpton is the perfect spot for a Barcelona stay. The boutique hotel offers contemporary luxury with a gorgeous rooftop pool and bar area, in house restaurant and lobby bar (with daily happy hour wines - winning!). From the Kimpton we explored this area of the city by foot and joined the Hop On Hop Off bus for a more detailed look at Barcelona.

City Highlights:
▪️La Sagrada Familia
▪️Park Güelll
▪️Telefèric de Montjuïc (Barcelona Cable Car)
▪️La Rambla & Mercado de La Boqueria
▪️Gothic Quarter

Restaurant Pick: Restaurant La Taverneta Barcelona
Located around the corner from the Kimpton in a cute alley La Taverneta provides delicious authentic food with a great atmosphere with a real 'locals' feel about it.

Virgin Voyages: Spanish Obsession - The Ports 🚢

Palma de Mallorca:
This was the perfect port for hiring bikes and exploring. There are bikes for hire right as you walk out of the cruise terminal and you can ride all the way from the port to the other side of town (which is much nicer than the port side). As you get around the other side the seaside is classic Mediterranean beauty our biggest mistake was forgetting our swimmers as a dip in the ocean would have been the perfect ending to our day of exploring.

Malaga - Caminito del Rey Hike (shore tour with Virgin):
This almost 8-kilometre path near Malaga (Andalusia) was once considered one of the most dangerous in the world. Today the entire route has been carefully restored, but although it's now much safer, one thing hasn't changed - the unique experience of strolling along walkways hanging over 100 metres up on a sheer cliff face. The views are unforgettable. The Caminito del Rey route is spectacular from beginning to end, running through cliffs, canyons, and a large valley.

Gibraltar:
You can't visit Gibraltar without a trip up 'The Rock' which is exactly what we did. It is an easy walk from the port through the cobblestone town centre to the base of the rock where we hopped on a local bus tour for a history lesson of this interesting city. First stop was St Michaels Cave with a magical lightshow inside the cave and then further up the rock for amazing views you can even see Morocco from afar.

Ibiza:
This was our last cruise port with an overnight stay which is great so you can experience the Ibiza nightlife (if you wish) and then spend the day exploring the beautiful town. We started with a trek up the fort before finding a swimming cove where we literally jumped off the rocks into the sea. This is a beautiful city to wander around and is not just the party town it is known for.

As many of you know I recently embarked on a Virgin Voyages cruise from Barcelona.. stay tuned for all the details of my adventure 🚢

The Ship: Valiant Lady
WOW was my first impression of the ship in port then you board and the excitement continues the cabins are spacious, modern and conformable and the whole ship has a 'FUN' vibe about it. Forget everything you know about traditional cruising Virgin has changed it all from the dining to entertainment and amenities onboard - hello tattoo studio!

Cabin: Sea Terrace (225-265 sq ft)
"Whether you're getting ready inside at the glam area, rinsing off in your Roomy Rainshower or relaxing outside on your hand-woven terrace hammock (that almost all of our Sea Terraces offer), our spaces are designed to give you sweeping views of the horizon as our mood lighting intuitively matches the light from the oncoming sunset."

Dining: There is no main dining room but over 20+ distinctive and delicious specialty eateries all included in your cruise fare. Think Michelin-starred chefs, No buffets or big dining halls, Late-night bites, different cuisines every night with each restaurant providing their own flair and signature experiences.

Entertainment: "Swapping classic Broadway productions for first-to-sea, modern, and immersive entertainment, choose from a festival-like lineup developed by the world’s most-talked-about directors, choreographers, and artists."

Amenities: Gym with numerous fitness classes including 90s boyband dance classes, VHS workouts, bungy workouts, boxing classes just to name a few. The Spa has a mudroom, sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools - everything you can imagine. Beauty salon, massages, tattoo studio you name it and it is more than likely on this ship!

If you have been considering a cruise but aren't sure if you’re a ‘cruise person’ this is the cruise to try - it does not feel like you are on a cruise ship!

Oh and don’t forget they are adults only!!

Virgin are sailing from Melbourne in December 2023 ✨
