This piece of timber was given to me by a friend. it was old and water damaged, laying outside. My friend was kind enough to let me recycle it for better use than a moisture absorber😅
Its a slab of mango which ist pretty cool!! mango is a rather fluffy timber internally.
ps: it doesn't smell like mango!
It worked really well as the backing for the outdoor shower:-)
As ive cladded the water tank(which is another reuse of material) the water is ice cold! Perfect to cool off on those hot days!!

This is the main room with ensuite. to wake up to this view of nature is just so relaxing. It's so peaceful out here, it's hard to put into words.
Birds chirping, cows mooing through the valleys and the occasional wallaby grazing.
It would be hard to sleep with the blinds down! get up early and watch the sun fill this beautiful land we live in🥰

Ive been playing around with towel origami. I was going do a swan but it seems too common. (No offence to swan towel origami enthusiasts. swans are pretty cool!) the elephants seem to suit the rooms abit better! Im practicing doing giraffes but they look abit funny at the mo😅 need more practice!

I built this outdoor bath out of old fence railings i found on the property. i love repurposing timber when i can! the timber would of just rotted away slowly but now it has a really cool purpose:-)
ive placed it facing away from the river as this view is also something special. I love hearing reviews about it! I never thought all guest would use i to be honest. It makes me so happy to hear its always used. only trouble is i'm having to refill the bubble bath constantly😅 ill have to invest in a bigger bottle! ide be gutted to know a guest has run out of bubble bath!!i don't think an outdoor bath is an outdoor bath without the bubbles!!
rest assure at Clarence riverbend retreat you'll always have bubble bath!

raining, or tired from your long walks in nature? sit back and dine in with friends or family. If you just want to relax inside theres tons for you to do! pick up the guitar, ukulele, bongo drum or shake sum shakers. play some board games or just lean back on the leather couches and relax.

I built this breakfast bar so guests could enjoy a morning coffee or a sundowner with a spectacular view of the Clarence river.
little did i know how romantic a spot it would be.
The connection you get sitting here is something special.
coffee, great conversion/or quietness😅 with a loved one and a beautiful view of nature is priceless.

we're on a S-bend of the Clarence river which causes the water to circulate around which is a prime location for bass fishing. It's hard not to catch a fish out here and the best part is that you have the entire 126 acre property all to yourselves.
if your lucky you'll have a few kayakers flow past and give you a wave✋
bring your friends or family and have the most relaxing time perched under a tree or sitting on a rock by the river. The flow of water is constant and the sound of the flow will let you find relaxation. let your thoughts drift and let nature give you some well deserved peace and quiet.
its so untouched that fish quiet often just swim along the edges of the Beautiful Clarence river.

one thing i didn't realise when renovating this property is how amazing the stars would be with no light pollution. the sky opens up to more stars than you could possibly count! Its a beautiful thing to be able to look up at the stars with little to no light pollution giving you a full view of the stars in their most spectacular form.
sitting at the fire pit at night with a clear sky is 100% absolutely breathtaking!
This is a stargazers paradise! come lose yourself in the stars at night by a warm fire roasting marshmallows or just in the dark soaking up the night sky.

i could almost guarantee relaxation in the this wonderful part of the Clarence river if thats what you're looking for.
