Our Hcos Preschool incursion was a hit, at first a little wary of the bugs by the end of our visit the children excitedly collected and showed off their cool big collection after a short walk around the preschool building 🐞

Myopsalta bassiana (Bassian Buzzer) and Diemeniana euronotiana (Golden Twanger) cicadas in Blackheath yesterday. Both are very small species preferring open grassy areas interspersed with shrubs and trees. Males call from grass stems or low shrubs.

At this Tuesday's Hawkesbury City Council meeting, there is a proposal to rezone a parcel of land owned by Redbank Communities, from Primary Production to Residential (low density and large lots) and Recreational. If successful, Redbank will be able to create an additional 300 to 350 lots.

The proposal was made public on Friday December 6, and so with just a couple of days to consider this important item, we are wanting community members to fill in the survey to help us represent your views when we speak at Tuesday night's Council meeting.
