The expedition activities are executed by Silversea Expedition Team and are weather and sea condition dependent. More details will be provided onboard. Zodiacs are used almost every day to access parts of the destination. Additionally, on several occasions, it is only possible embark and disembark the ship by Zodiac. On days when the shore excursions are provided that involve transportation, local services and venues, pre-booking is required. The shore excursions are subject to minimum and maximum participation levels to operate based on venue capacity or other restrictions outside of Silversea’s control. The shore excursions are bookable on ‘first come first served’ basis so it is recommended to reserve your priority of choice as soon as possible. Explore TV’s Trevor Cochrane returns to the screen with Viking every Saturday at‌ 4.30pm‍ AEDT from‌ 1‍ February –‍ 22‍ February on Channel‍ 9 and 9NOW 📺

“My friend James and I embarked on a holiday to King Island, Tasmania, to prove that disability is no obstacle to exploring one of Australia’s most remote islands. I am a double-leg amputee, and James is a quadriplegic, yet we showed that adventure knows no bounds.

I am a survivor of the 2002 Bali Bombing terrorist attack, losing both of my legs and sustaining 63 per cent full-thickness burns to my body. I was 27 at the time and only had a five per cent chance of survival. I learnt to walk again on prosthetic legs. James became a quadriplegic in 2008 at the age of 29 after a fall during a fishing trip in Africa.

Travel is an escape we can all enjoy together, regardless of ability.”
