I learnt about these two wonderful Tasmanian quilts while I was in France. Here I am in Canberra with my sunnies on, posing in front of the wonderful, charming Westbury quilt. The Rajah quilt was equally as stunning and the story is so poignant.
There was so much chatter around the Westbury quilt and was thinking of .osborne .stephens.artist you would have loved it!

Last day, last selfie for now. I was going to catch a train out of town to somewhere new but decided to retrace my steps to see a couple of places I’d missed.
I visited the Musee Abattoir which is an art museum with an interesting name and I noticed a hospital named Hopital La Grave! Visited the Church of St Nicholas where I was the only visitor except for an old lady asleep
In a pew. It was incredibly peaceful except for her gentle snores.
Getting lost as I invariably do leads to some great discoveries including a letterpress print shop and little ateliers.
It’s been a wonderful trip and so lucky to experience it all ❤️

So the retreat has come to an end and I’m standing in a laundrette in Toulosse washing my smalls and wondering if the attractive young guy will ask the attractive young woman out for coffee 😂
The retreat was nothing short of wonderful and am very grateful for the amazing group we had, and think we made some great work and forged some wonderful connections.
Today I found the op shop part of town and was instinctively drawn down an alleyway to a fabric shop. I have a fabric radar!
Head home in a day or two, depending if I can get out of the city as the Olympic torch is coming to town and it appears it will be chaotic!🇫🇷

We are at our last Salamanca for 2023. A big thank you to all those who supported us this year it was much appreciated.
We will be taking a long tea break through January and will be back sometime in 2024.
