Howard District Visitor Centre

Howard District Visitor Centre We provide a friendly information service to locals & visiting travelers as we promote the district, history & local businesses, hand made crafts & gifts.

Howard and District Arts Craft and Information Centre is a Not For Profit community organisation aimed at enhancing the experience of staying in the Burrum district, which is part of the beautiful Fraser Coast. We want to give visitors the opportunity to be informed about the recreation, and accommodation that is available in our area. While at the HDACIC our visitors will also be able to view and

buy art and craft items that have been handmade by many of our talented locals. While enjoying a devonshire tea with scones our guests will also have an opportunity to chat with local people and learn more about the history of our part of the world, the most prominent being that in 1863 the Miller brothers discovered coal on the upper reaches of the Burrum River.
