Since its inception in 1994, the Inverloch Jazz Festival has been a vibrant celebration of jazz music, attracting enthusiasts and performers from all over Australia. This year, the Jazz Festival proudly celebrates 30 years of bringing jazz to the scenic seaside village of Inverloch. There will be 45 bands carefully selected from over 90 expression of interests, 15 are new to the Inverloch festival!

Plus over recent years the festival has forged a close link with the Monash University’s music faculty and its acclaimed jazz stream, and this year will feature three bands of Monash’s highly talented younger players.

Festival Overview:
Duration: Two days and two evenings of non-stop music
Performers: Over forty bands and 150 artists
Genres: All styles of jazz ranging from traditional contemporary and modern, through to Latin jazz and the newer funk-style jazz.

There is something for everyone who loves music and just being a part of an inspirational and enjoyable three day celebration.

We popped in to have a chat with Liz from Bliss in Inverloch . If you are wondering what you do in Inverloch on an overcast day we guarantee you will be glad you popped in here! This is certainly the place to go if you want a little pick me up!

Liz and her store ooze energy and fun and if you love your colours vibrant and your shops a little quirky you may leave with your bags full. She tells us colour is so uplifting , she loves how it makes people smile .

The highlight in Bliss this week is a fabulous new range of bamboo ladies un**es , not surprising they are colourful and comfortable as well as a bit oo la la! As Liz points out there is nothing worse than arriving somewhere for your little getaway and you forgot your best un**es ! 😄

A bit of a weather warning for our region . Gale winds forecasted to hit Inverloch late Tuesday / early Wednesday morning . Although not listed here other weather and wind sites list Inverloch for that time .

Let’s hope it’s down graded but better to be prepared !

Thunderstorms and strong winds are predicted for tomorrow (11/6) and Wednesday in the Leongatha, Wilsons Promontory and Bairnsdale areas. Heavy rain is also expected in Wodonga, Benalla and Seymour.

If you live in these areas, it's time to get power prepared:
- Life support customers, please be ready to activate your emergency plan. Call our priority line anytime on 1800 818 832.
- Have battery operated torches and radios in a place easy to access - keep spare batteries handy too
- Charge your battery packs so they're ready to power your mobile phones

It’s a hive of activity at this morning as they get ready for a huge day ahead ensuring everyone visiting Inverloch has enough freshly baked treats, pastries, pies and bread !

The bread is too hot to cut it is so fresh and now they are finishing off the cinnamon donuts which smell soooo delicious !

Paul the Pieman always wins prizes for their pies but we believe they seriously make the BEST cinnamon donuts in the .

Does anyone else have memories of sitting on a jetty as a kid. Watching your dad hooking up the line to cast it in again, saying “just ten more minutes “?

Shivering as the air gets colder but loving being out in the night sky listening to the water lapping at the pylons ?

The Inverloch jetty is a must visit site when you Visit Inverloch, particularly if you love early morning photography . If you are lucky you may get to watch our iconic stingrays gliding through the water as a special surprise .
