Nice spot to pull up right on the water to have a swim and fish. The water would have been about 28โฐ.

Beach permit required. Can be purchased from the Sandbar caravan park reception upon entry. We got a yearly pass for $105.

Need to drop tyre pressures as the sand is soft.

It's been quite the year of adventuring. 2024 had its ups and downs, but we made it out stronger.

A few overseas trips, including America, Japan, and Hawaii. Took the van onto Fraser Island and enjoyed the nice weather at Elliot heads and Burrum Heads.

Enjoyed a few good festivals and concerts, including pink, CMC rocks, and the Texas country music festival.

Finished the big build on our Ram 3500, which has made our touring so much easier.

Was nice taking a trip down memory lane compiling these pics.

I hope 2025 is good to you all and brings you lots of adventure and happy times.

Safe travels to all our followers. We're looking forward to planning our next trips for 2025.

Looking forward to a bit of R&R over the next week and a half!

After a detour to Kenilworth Bakery, we stopped at the big pineapple. It was drizzling, so we just got a photo and kept moving.

There are lots of things to do here, including a train ride ($10), Zoo (over 200 animal species), and tree top challenge course.

Kenilworth Bakery...

We did a detour so we could go get some doughnuts and have a pie for lunch.

On weekends they get so busy that they open up a second shop. One to sell doughnuts, and one to sell the savoury stuff.

The doughnuts looked impressive, but I have to say the pies were way better. ๐Ÿ˜‹

Lots of cool artwork painted on the fences and walls and plenty of seating out the back.

We saved time when coming off Fraser by using the Morrflate multi tire inflation and deflation system.

This allows you to program what PSI you want, and then it will simultaneously inflate or deflate all 4 tyres at once. The system has the capability to equalise air pressures between the tyres.

We walked 500m along a goats track to get to the knifeblade sandblow lookout.

It's the largest one on Fraser.

We drove a few km's along Worelle Rd from the East coast. Track access is near the pinnacles.

It is 3.5km long and over 115m high. Each year, it gets about 1m higher. It is created by giant sand drift. We could see this off the peaks. Will upload some drone footage later.

The pinnacles at Fraser. Super short walk to the base of the colourful sand cliffs. Pretty colours ๐Ÿ˜

We set up our awnings for some shade, and stayed there most of the day - floating down the river and relaxing.

Super impressed with the bush company 270 XT Max awning. It was a little breezy to start with, but the awning was sturdy as. No tie down straps required, as it is well built and strong.

Such a lovely spot.

Rock shoes recommended.

We went at high tide on our way back from the sandy cape, so we got to see the waves splashing over the rocks which was cool.

You have to walk along a board walk for a couple of hundred meters and go down a couple of flights of stairs to get to the pools.

We drove up to the Sandy Cape on Fraser. Didn't stay up there long, as we had to make it back over the rocks before the tide got too high.

On the way we stopped at Indian Head and passed through the Ngkala rocks. Such beautiful scenery ๐Ÿ˜
