It’s that time of the year again 🎄

My new additions to the tree: Elephant from Sri Lanka ( because I saw 117 of them… and yes I counted).
The jeep is also from Sri Lanka( a reminder of my Safari in uduwalawe national park) and the P&O ship from our cruise to PNG.
Pretty sad knowing P&O will disappear next year so I’m glad I grabbed it onboard.

Virgin Voyages’ Annual Pass will allow Sailors the opportunity to explore every Lady Ship in the fleet, including inaugural voyages on the much-anticipated fourth and final vessel, Brilliant Lady, debuting in September ‘25. Sailing anytime, from anywhere, this global vacation includes a spot in a Sea Terrace cabin, featuring balcony views and the brand’s iconic red hammock. With start dates as early as Jan. 1 through April of 2025, Annual Pass holders will be able to sail on any ship, on any voyage, valid for one year from the selected date.

Offering better value than living in most major cities, Annual Pass includes special on-board perks including priority boarding, complimentary laundry services, dedicated concierge support, unlimited premium wifi, a $100 Bar Tab credit per voyage, and access to exclusive events and experiences on-board. As an added benefit, Annual Pass holders are welcome to add a plus one to their cabin, with the ability to travel with different companions throughout the year.

The Virgin Voyages Annual Pass is available on a first-come, first-served basis with a base fare total of $120,000 USD, excluding taxes and fees for voyages booked. Pass holders can select a start date of Jan. 1, Feb. 1, March 1 or April 1, and the pass will be valid for one year from the desired start date. Sailors must book between now and March 31, 2025.

A Friday to remember at work, thanks to the beautiful Oceania Regatta. We enjoyed a fantastic tour of the ship and a seriously delicious lunch. Last week I had the opportunity to take a little tour around Townsville with AAT Kings. They offer so many wonderful tours around Australia ( including Tasmania) and such amazing value.
Probably the best thing I learnt was how adaptable their coaches are! Wheelchair passengers can now easily travel on a coach tour without the stress and inconvenience associated with the coach stairs. Most coaches are now equipt with a slide panel that opens to access a chair lift directly from the interior of the coach. Pics below ( 2 rows of seats are able to be removed to allow for wheelchair- rectangle underneath is where the chair lift is usually located ).

RAAF Base Townsville will host F/A-18F Super Hornet and Pilatus PC-21 aircraft for a series of flying activities and live-fire operations in support of Exercise Black Dagger and Exercise Havoc Strike.

Residents can expect an increase in flying during weekdays with short night flying windows.
