OVERVIEW
Future Kids Zone Incorporated aims to expand learning, future thinking and growth opportunities
within the Kyogle community via a program called FutureKidz Kyogle. Offering innovative educational programs for young people and families with a vision of a new business & learning innovation hub.
• Delivering a series of FutureKidz innovation & educational workshops in Kyogle, with popup programs with neighbouring schools and local community towns
• Establishing learning and innovation hub within a dedicated Kyogle space. The envisioned hub
will contribute educational, social and economic value to the local community
• Advancing benefits and sustainability of the model for the Kyogle Shire community, through effective partnerships with educational, business and community groups to deliver, measure, generate income and communicate impact. PURPOSE
Our purpose is to deliver an adapting long-term community & destination project initiative by:
- Providing fun, educational, safe, interactive, engaging, innovative and discovery programs with key elements of:
o STEAM Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics and Design Process
concepts
o 21st century learning, creative & critical thinking
o Makerspace concept
o Leadership, team building and empowerment for rural regional community children
o Emotional & Physical Wellbeing including Resilience & online safety
o Future Economics skills (linking to future careers and job opportunities)
- Providing the children within the community (Kyogle Shire) access to key element resources and materials outside-school-hours
- Collaboration with & showcasing people involved in all levels of skills/careers/jobs/roles within the key elements
- Providing the community, the opportunity to have access, learn and enjoy the key element resources and materials available
- Providing safe learning environment for children to showcase their skills to their family & friends.
- Provide local students including university students the opportunity to volunteer & work placement within the zones, to participate, contribute & gain essential skills and references to further their career, study & goals within the key elements.
- An experience & destination for tourists to visit within the Kyogle shire
- Supporting local community businesses through collaboration and tourism
