On Saturday 26 April, 2025, the movie shown at the Maleny Community Centre by Maleny Film Society (MFS) will be a fund raiser for the Maleny Visitor Information Centre. The film is ‘Thelma’. PATH CLOSURE IN IMBIL STATE FOREST
Due to loss of structural integrity of a section of boardwalk, Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) Its conducting maintenance repairs at Imbil State Forest from 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2025.
The following areas at Fig Tree walk are closed until repairs can be completed:
• Part of the bitumen walking track from the second section of boardwalk to the third section of boardwalk
• The entire third section of boardwalk
The remaining section of walking track is open and can be walked by returning along the same track. The loop is closed.

The Australia Day Expo at the Maleny Showgrounds on 26 January 2025 was a great turn out. The Maleny Visitor Information Centre booth was personed admirably by Lois, Graham, Deb and Margaret throughout the morning. Big thanks to these vollies. It was great to meet and greet many people and to have the opportunity to explain what we do.
