In honour of World Environment Day on Wednesday June 5th we're doing a listening walk along the Understory Art & Nature Trail.

Join us at 4pm for a contemplative stroll amongst the trees. Listen afresh to nature's symphony of sound.

We'll meet on the rear verandah of the Northcliffe Information & Visitor Centre. Bring wet weather gear in case it's raining.

This event is linked to national & international place-based arts activity celebrating our beautiful planet.

🚫 The Parks and Wildlife Service has issued Park Closures for 20 February 2024 for the following 🚫

⚠ The closures are due to extreme weather and bushfire risk.

- Warren National Park in the Lower South West until further notice.
- Park Closure for Two Peoples Bay Nature Reserve in the Great Southern Region.
- Parts of Fitzgerald River National Park in the Great Southern Region.
- Blackwood River National Park in the Lower South West Region until further notice.
- Mount Lindesay National Park in the Great Southern Region.
- Rapids Conservation Park in the Lower South West Region will be closed until further notice.
- Woody Lake Nature Reserve in the Great Southern Region.

- People are urged to avoid the area, follow the advice of Parks and Wildlife Service staff and observe signage.
- People already in the area should leave for a safer place.

Keep an eye on our Facebook and Insta pages tomorrow if you were hoping to walk the Understory trail. We may need to close due to the current heatwave and fire risk in the region. The best bet will be to visit early while it's cooler. You can always call the Visitor Centre to double check on the day: 9776 7207.
