My husband and I have lived in Upwey for the 14 years. We are raising our two boys aged 9 and 11.
Living locally, I understand the issues that impact our community. Our unique environment is central to our community, a drawcard for tourism and a foundation for many local businesses. We must ensure our community can thrive without compromising our region’s unique attractions. Future planning and development must be appropriate for where we live, while ensuring we have access to relevant services and infrastructure.
I bring a wealth of experience relevant to serving as your councillor. I operated my own professional firm for many years, employing up to 15 people. I know the responsibility of paying people’s wages. I understand the challenges all employers and small businesses face and the support they need.
I have worked in the public and private sectors and am a member appointed to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. I have the skills and experience needed to be an effective councillor and to ensure Council works for our community.
