Our mission is keep alive the ancestral wisdom through multidisciplinary art work combining the culture through origins, history, traditional and new dance folk tendencies with contemporary dance. With the unique propose to speak about what we are made of.
D A N C E M O D A L I T Y
This dance started with a Technical laboratory of natural bodies (community people) that have specific qualities that come from culturally inherited dance experiences. As the dance techniques increment with age and experiences, their culture gave to them knowledge of the senses, and how to interpret the rhythms and incorporate in with movement. At this point those bodies incorporate the basic steps, sensations, emotions and feelings from experiencing the benefits between

there is a creation of new dance tendency. As the result, it rescues “lost dances” that combine the media with contemporary art as well as new dance aesthetic and discipline. This enriches the concept and context of this ritual dance practices.

O R I G I N A R I O 2 0 1 3 was the first event fully created by Tunjos y Cantaros Ethnologic Dance Company, revealing the concept of Ethnodanceology Art to discover ways, and intangible documents of pre-historic cultures that could be manifested through dance. The dance pieces expressed the cultural complexity of Colombia. The origins, the mixing of cultural groups, the evolution of new cultural identities and the struggle that are still being faced today these ethnic groups in Colombia.
