Please help!

Hello friends. Reaching out here because we are in quite a desperate situation - we are moving overseas in a matter of weeks and we have 3 lovely and gentle cats who we were fully intending to come with us however due to a last minute change now cannot come.

We're now urgently looking to rehome them before we leave. Would anyone be able to give one of these lovely floofs a new home? We're open to either a permanent adoption or even just a temporary care situation where we could fly them overseas to join us in 6-9 months.

We are Central Coast based but can travel and I can provide more information about them to anyone who is interested.

All three are de-sexed, microchipped and up-to-date with their vaccinations. They're not particularly bonded so can either go to homes together or separately. They are low maintenance, friendly, a little timid with new people, and very affectionate. Great with children and dogs.

What a day we had yesterday on Fitzroy Island. Such a beautiful spot and great snorkelling, including a friendly turtle.

This is Nudey Beach, apparently Australia's most instagrammed beach. I know we're spoilt here but that seems both unlikely and, dare I say it, undeserved?!

I mean have people seen Whitehaven?

What do you think...worth the accolade?

We were a family conflicted yesterday. I can't not support England at football. It's too much in my blood - embedded in the fabric of the nation.

But living here we've grown quite attached to the Matildas. To see them in the final at home would have been special. But regardless, the impact they've had as the host nation is immeasurable; on the popularity of football, on women's sport overall, and on the gender expectations of a whole generation of girls AND boys.

This morning my boys started playing FIFA and for the first time ever chose to play as a women's team and for that, thank you

Now we're off to the final, so COME ON ENGLAND!

Sadly, it's time for us to take a break from organising trips. Like all of you other single, working mums, there are a lot of things on my plate currently and I'm juggling family life and running my other business.

I'm not sure how long the break will be for but for right now, I need to focus on my family and other priorities. One thing I do know for sure, is that I'm passionate about Outnumbered Holidays and the value single parent families can get from travelling with their kids.

This means I will continue posting content that I hope you find useful when thinking about travelling as a single parent and you can join our Facebook Group to ask questions, get advice, share tips and make friends to travel with. Hop on over!

I want to say a huge thank you to all of you for being here. Please stick around as I'm sure we'll be back before you know it!

Happy 2023 folks! I'm not one for resolutions but the start of a new year is a great time for reflection and planning.

I'm spending this week mapping out what 2023 might look like for our family from a travel perspective and getting some plans underway although we have nothing firm locked in yet. I'm also working out the final details for the Outnumbered Group Trips happening over the next few months.

What about you? Where are you heading in 2023? Let me know in the comments.

And just like that, it's all over.

My boys' dad arrived from Aus yesterday, we hit the pub, all went to see a show together, and this morning they were off. The boys have another 3 weeks in Europe with their dad but I'm heading home tomorrow.

So I had one free day in London. My opportunity to take in some museums and see the sights, right? Don't be ridiculous. I went shopping of course.

Then I just walked around, taking it all in, breathing in the smell of 'home' and randomly bursting into tears. The thought of it being another 9 years until we're back is too much. There are too many special people here to hug!

Thanks to everyone who made the effort to see us. You've made this trip so incredibly special. Promise we won't leave it so long next time!

Merry Christmas 🎅 Wishing everyone exactly what they need this festive season!

There's always a danger when you're planning a trip for a long time that it doesn't live up to your expectations. Things happen that are outside your control and, let's face it, kids will be kids...parenting is still parenting wherever you are!

I was so worried this trip would end up being a disappointment after looking forward to it for so long. We're a week in and so far, I couldn't have been more wrong!

After a hectic but fun few days in London, we've just spent the most perfect weekend with friends in Wiltshire. (Shhh, we're not talking about the football!). Finally getting to hug some absolute besties I've not seen in almost a decade, meeting kids, Sunday roasts, football in the pub, country walks, and then waking up to this. English winter weekends don't get any better and I don't think we could be much happier. Unless England had won of course. 💛

Just in case you needed a reminder. Go on folks, start making memories with your kiddos.

This week has been a LOT! I took 6 kids to Raging Waters last weekend to celebrate my biggest boy's birthday then we've all been sick this week, along with school performances, trying to wrap up work and a family Christmas celebration before we head off on Sunday!

Most of the time I cruise along and don't get overwhelmed very easily but every so often it hits hard that I'm doing this whole thing single-handedly. We're definitely limping towards the finish line this week and I could do with a bit of this Palawan serenity right now 🌴

How are you guys doing at this crazy time of year? Cruising along or is the juggle getting a lot?!

Wow it's been a hectic few weeks. Illness, work and holiday planning has kept me busy and pretty quiet on here. This incredible trip feels like a lifetime ago!

When and I did this Philippines trip we winged it all. We had the first few nights accommodation lined up and that was it.

But now I'm knee-deep in planning for our Europe trip. Only 10 more days and we're off! This trip couldn't be more different - I feel like I've had to get almost every minute of the trip organised to try to squeeze in all the touristy things my boys want to do as well as seeing all our friends and family!

By nature, I'm a planner but this is a lot and so many things require bookings now that didn't pre-covid (free museums, I'm looking at you!). There's not much room left for spontaneity! 🤣

How do you like to travel? Do you have it all worked out or just go with the flow?

Want to know why you should come along on a trip with us?

💛Everyone is in the same boat: These trips are for solo parent families only. As a result there is an immediate camaraderie and willingness to help each other out that only single parents can understand. We understand the challenges of single parent holidays and tailor our holidays accordingly.

💛Meet other families: Our small group sizes create a wonderful opportunity for creating bonds among both the parents and kids. As the kids hit it off, parents will be able to enjoy some much-needed downtime getting to know each other.

💛Be supported along the way: Many single parents find the prospect of taking their kids on holiday overwhelming. Outnumbered Holidays takes all the stress away, organising everything for you and knowing you’ll be supported throughout.

For upcoming trips, including our Central Coast weekend, check out the link in bio.

There's something about our mums trips and floating breakfasts!! We scored one in Vietnam in 2019 and now this beauty. We've set the bar high for ourselves TraveLynn Family - a family travel blog.

Thanks to Princesa Garden Island for this incredible floating feast for breakfast this morning. What a way to wake up.

So tomorrow I head off on a mums only trip to the Philippines with my total bestie, Jenny from TraveLynn Family - a family travel blog. There will be pools and cocktails galore. The stuff of dreams!

BUT keeping it real...the run up to the trip has been pretty miserable. My kids hate me going overseas without them and there have been tears for days (from all of us).

I know it's good for them to see me have a life, independent from them, to understand that I have needs and it's important for me to prioritise them. I know they'll have an amazing time with their dad and be incredibly well cared for. I know that this trip will fill my cup and make me a much better mum when I return.

Does any of that make it easier to leave them? Not really. But it does make it all worthwhile.

So the next 10 days is going to be beach and (hopefully) sun and cocktails and catch ups and everything a mums trip should be. But remember there's always a side that you don't see on insta.

It's starting to feel like summer here in NSW as we start the run into the end of the year. I've got two big trips coming up before the year is out - one is to a tropical beach paradise and the other to a snowy winter wonderland checking out accommodation options for some incredible overseas group trips. The stuff of dreams.

If you could come along on just one which would you choose? Beach or snow?
