A hidden gem amongst the streets of Penola - view the historic timber and stone cottages that retain the charm and character of yesteryear. Petticoat Lane represents the oldest residential area of Penola.
The lane's character is enhanced by red gum kerbing, rose plantings and a lavender and herb farm featuring 60 varieties of lavender. Don't forget to also check out the Community Herb Garden amongst the Rose Garden too, which offers visitors a range of fresh produce and herbs for a gold coin donation!

Beautiful Greenrise Recreational Reserve is a nature lovers dream. Wander the walking track around the dry'ish lake which then connects to a beautiful 1.2km walking trail through the arboretum. A lovely walk from Penola's main street — or continue on from the Coonawarra Rail Trail. Have you visited lately? Make sure it’s on your to-do list.
