What do you need to get a PR visa?
To apply for a Skilled Independent

Subclass 190 visa you must:
- Nominate an occupation must be on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations.
- Have a relevant skills assessment for your nominated occupation
- Be aged less than 45 at the time you apply
- Have achieved the score specified in your EOI based on factors in the points test
- Demonstrate competent English as your minimum qualification for the English language requirement.

Student Guardian Visa
Students who are under 18 years of age may be accompanied by a Student Guardian who is able to provide accommodation, general welfare and other support to the student.

An Australian Student Guardian Visa is a temporary visa which is valid for the same period as the student visa of the student for whom they are a guardian or until the student turns 18 years of age. The Temporary Work (Long Stay Activity) visa (subclass 401) is for people who want to come to Australia on a temporary basis under one of the four streams under this visa:
1. Exchange stream: to work in a skilled position under a reciprocal staff exchange arrangement to:

New Work and Holiday visa ballots
​​On 1 October 2024, a pre-application process (visa ballot) commenced under the Working Holiday Maker (WHM) program.

Visa ballot registrations opened for the following high-demand Work and Holiday (subclass 462) countries:
- China
- India
- Vietnam
The Department will conduct random selections of registrations over program year 2024-25.

Applicants will need to meet all the standard eligibility requirements of the subclass 462 visa to be granted entry into Australia.

This is a permanent residence visa. It lets you and any family members who have also been granted this Distinguished Talent visa:

- Stay in Australia indefinitely
- Work and study in Australia
