Large rainfall events over spring and summer created the perfect environment for w**ds to flourish.
Early control measures are vital in preventing seed set and further spread.

More Spring time revegetation work - this week in Phillip Island, using locally sourced seed stock to increase native habitat along the Cowes foreshore.

A wonderful local revegetation project in the Strzelecki Ranges bioregion.  

This landholder has taken the initiative to link up existing remnant vegetation on his property in the Foster hills, including a small section of Wet Forest EVC, creating a much needed corridor for native fauna.

The beginnings of a large scale landscape project in Melbourne's western suburbs. Approximately 200,000 indigenous species including aquatic and ephemeral plants will transform this development site and create natural spaces for fauna and humans alike.

A wonderful Bass Coast Shire Council initiative. We look forward to watching these indigenous species grow and enhance this natural space at the back of Woolworths in Wonthaggi.

A much needed enhancement underway along the drain at the back of Woolworths in Wonthaggi. A mixture of ephemeral and aquatic plants will be installed into the jute to soften the landscape and improve the water quality.

Not a soul in sight on this windswept South Gippsland winters day!
Checking bait stations for signs of fox activity along the George Bass Coastal Walk. This program contributes to the protection of the resident and migratory shorebirds and their key roosting sites, along with benefits to natives species such as rodents, amphibians and reptiles.

On the hunt for the invasive Spartina species in Anderson Inlet - and having fun while doing it!
Controlling these infestations helps improve estuary habitat for fish populations and allows saltmarsh, mangrove and seagrass to re-establish.
