🚍 Day 6 – The Final Day of Our Tour: This morning, we had a meaningful visit to the Royal Flying Doctors Service in Dubbo—a vital service for the remote areas we’ve just traveled through. It was a powerful reminder of the support available in even the most isolated places.

After lunch, we began our journey home, dropping our travelers back to their home towns from Merriwa to Scone and Newcastle. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this incredible adventure. Here’s to many more journeys together! 🏡

🚍 Day 5 Update: Today, we bid farewell to Lightning Ridge, traveling through the lovely farming towns of Coonamble and Gilgandra before reaching Dubbo for our final night.

Tonight’s dinner was made extra special by a surprise performance from the kids, adding a wonderful touch to our last evening together! It’s been an amazing journey, but there’s a comfort in knowing we’ll be back in our own beds tomorrow night. Here’s to a great end to an unforgettable trip! 🎉🛏️✨

🚌 Day 4 Update: Today’s journey took us off the beaten path as we ventured out to Grawin on some rugged, unsealed roads—adding a real sense of adventure to our trip! 🌄

Our first stop was the moving War Memorial at Sheep Yard, where we took a moment to pay our respects. From there, we enjoyed a bite to eat at the famous Hilton Glengarry, a truly unique outback spot.

The afternoon was filled with fascinating visits, including a stop at a cactus nursery with an impressive collection of plants, and an exploration of the Walk-In Mine, where we got an up-close look at the history of opal mining.

As we prepare to depart Lightning Ridge tomorrow, we’re cherishing the memories made and excited for the next chapter of our adventure!

🌞 Day 3 Highlights: Our Lightning Ridge tour is in full swing!

This morning, we followed the iconic Red Car Door Tour, where we explored unique sights, including a stop at some quirky castles nestled along the route. 🏰 Afterward, we browsed the bustling Sunday morning markets, soaking up the local opal finds and culture.

The highlight of the day was our visit to the Chambers of the Black Hand, where we marveled at incredible underground carvings. After a delicious lunch, we took a refreshing dip in the Artesian pool—an amazing way to unwind!

Now, we’re enjoying a free afternoon to relax and recharge before gathering for dinner at the bowling club tonight. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow holds!

🌾 Day 2 Update: What an incredible day on our Lightning Ridge tour! Today, we traveled through Narrabri and Walgett, witnessing the impressive sight of grain silos towering over the landscape. 🚜🌾

It was a fascinating scene with trucks lined up, waiting to unload their harvest into the silos—a true reminder of the hardworking heart of this region.

After a day full of discoveries, we’ve finally arrived in the legendary Lightning Ridge! Excitement is in the air as we settle in, eager to explore everything this unique opal mining town has to offer. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey!

🚍✨ We’re off! Today marks the beginning of our 6-day Lightning Ridge adventure, and I’m thrilled to be at the wheel as coach captain on my maiden tour! 🎉

Not only am I excited to take our group through the stunning sights, but I’ve also braved bringing my kids along for the ride. This will be one unforgettable journey for all of us! Stay tuned for updates and glimpses of our adventures along the way.
