Jervis Bay is famous for many many things – white sand, crystal clear waters and whale watching BUT we are also one of the few places in Australia where you can witness the incredible natural phenomena known as bioluminescence.
Bioluminescence can only be witnessed at a few locations around the world and it is notoriously difficult to photograph ( nailed it though)
It is also difficult to predict, with its appearance relying on the right temperatures and wind.

An angry one lying in the tidal zone near the Sir Henry Cres, beach entrance. Do not touch!!
A bit unusual to see Blue-ringed octopus on the sand in the tidal zone. All in line with the blue theme in Jervis Bay atm. Pic - Maria Elliot
