We’re voting YES, along with Yvonne Goolagong, Ash Barty and Briggsy. We urge you to as well. This is our YES sign out the front of the little blue house.

We want to live in an Australia that acknowledges the special place indigenous people have in our history. We are lucky to be part of a nation that has such a strong first nations culture. Something that can hold us weird mob, who come from everywhere in the world, together. YES will ground us as a nation as well as support our First Nations people.

1. Recognition
The Voice is about recognising and respecting 65,000 years of Indigenous culture and history for the very first time in Australia’s 122 year old constitution.

2. Listening
The Voice is a committee of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who give advice to Parliament on issues that affect them. They simply provide advice. This idea came from Indigenous people, not politicians. Over 80% of Indigenous Australians support it. Listening will mean better results - and better value for money.

3. Protecting
Writing the Voice for Indigenous Australians into the Constitution protects it from being dismantled by changing Governments, bureaucrats or politicians. It won't be a politicised.

4. Better Results
The Voice will mean improving the results for Indigenous health, education, employment and housing, so people have a better life.

Our Story

Currarong is the last town on Beecroft peninsula, east of Nowra and part of the Jervis Bay Marine Park. Approximately 3hrs from Sydney, Currarong is secluded, lovely, has stunning walks, great swimming, surfing and snorkelling.

Our holiday house is a 1960’s cottage with 3 bedrooms and is sunny, bright and comfortable. There is an open plan kitchen and living area, an outside deck and the house is surrounded by native gardens, a playground for local birds.

Each bedroom has a double bed and there are lots of blankets and eiderdowns. In winter electric blankets and a gas heater keep you warm. The bathroom has a deep bath and one bedroom has a work bench under a window so you can set up to work, paint or write. All you need is food, consumables, sheets, pillow cases, face washers and towels.

You can do a big shop in Nowra, Culburra and Callala on the way in. In Currarong, Zac’s general store sells fish and has a restaurant. Look out for pop-up Rosie’s Fire Truck for delicious pizzas. There are tennis courts and a bowling club.
