One of my favourite past times is picking blue lines on a map and just walking there to see what they look like.
This beautiful sandy bottomed pool was just the refreshing treat I needed after a very spikey bushbash the day prior!

SYDNEY BASIN BEAUTIFUL

It's been a while since I visited this absolute gem of a walk, just an hour or so from Sydney.

The recent rains have plumped up the plushness.. plus, the flowers are all in bloom.

We just can't get enough of the Waratahs this season. These breathtaking bush beauties always impress us each year.

Please remember to never pick a Waratah or take its seed pods from the bush (or other wildflowers for that matter!) Apart from the risk of huge fines (and even imprisonment) you are just destroying the bush and threatening a vulnerable species (so uncool).

So if you want to keep enjoying these blooms year on year, take photos only!

The beautiful is swimming under Victoria Falls, one of our best Blue Mountains waterfalls.
We had a beautiful day frolicking under waterfalls on tour yesterday. There were Waratahs, Crayfish and even Red Triangle Slugs on our wanderings. Spring time is an excellent time to take a walk outside with us!

EPIPHANY TOURS X OBERON OUTDOOR FESTIVAL
Come with us on a beautiful hike to our favourite waterfall ever: Box Creek Falls and Dungalla Cascades, in Kanangra National Park, in the greater Blue Mountains.
This 10 level, Pink Granite waterfall, will make you feel like you are in another state, or even another world!
With an experienced guide to show you the way to this hidden gem, you can focus on enjoying swimming, photos and relaxing in this bushland oasis.
Details:
🗓When: Saturday 9 November
⏰Time: pick up departs 9:30am
🧭Departs from: Oberon Visitor Centre
😎Difficulty: Moderate/hard, there are some rock scrambles and in places the track is grown over.
🗺Length: approx. 6-8km, 5-6 hours, including lunch, swimming and morning tea breaks
🥾Hiking boots: Required, this is a rocky, unmaintained trail. Non slip, closed toe shoes or boots are required.
⛰Fitness level: Moderate
What to bring:
💊essential medication and personals (eg. Ventolin, Epi Pen, hand sanitizer, lip balm, tissues)
🥢walking poles if you have them (but very optional)
💧2 litres of water (minimum) there is water to filter at the waterfall.
⏹A small towel or something for sitting on at lunch.
🥪Food for lunch
🌞Sunscreen/hat/sunglasses
🧥A warm top/jacket plus a pair of gloves and a beanie/scarf or neck gaiter. This is a very cold and exposed environment in the event of a sudden weather change so please be prepared. Please check your layers all fit in your pack as well.

I recently developed an even more intense fascination with clouds. They tell us so much.
Standing here at Mount Dingo's 'Splendour Rock' before sunrise, I could look from east to south, then west, and gather good information about what my morning was likely to be like...mild, slightly breezy and overcast. Perfect hiking weather!
